Happy 6 year anniversary to my lovely business, closed for a week and a half to do some maintenance to the old beauty, and have a rest x back to welcoming lovely guests again in a couple of weeks, and might even stay there myself for a night or two x

A beautiful property with everything you could need. My cousin and her family loved it. Jan was super- helpful, very good at communicating quickly. I will be booking this property again in the near future for friends, it is perfect and very well priced.

Looking at future bookings going into 2023, it seems Knaresborough is on the world map. More bookings from USA, and some from Canada, Australia, Germany and Norway.

Turn out day again, these guests loved Knaresborough, saying Harrogate has the bling but this town has the charm. That is so true, but nice to have the choice so easily accessible from our beautiful train station just down the road to pop to Harrogate, york or Leeds. New arrivals tomorrow, Love my job.

A special spot in Knaresborough—and right in the heart of town. The Old Bakery oozes charm—including its hearth, its two-story spiral staircase, and many splendid appointments. Jan is a terrific host—a great communicator, and expertly supplies the place for a comfortable stay.

Todays departures, back to it and a few very busy months ahead, hope all as lovely as these. MrsK
I highly recommend this guest house for anyone thinking of visiting Knaresborogh. It is perfectly situated for walking to the town and waterfront. There are plenty of restaurants and take away venues close by and a nice pub 2 mins down the road at the train station. Speaking of which, you can get the train to York and Harrogate if you fancy exploring a little further. The guest house is located over 3 floors and has everything you will need. There is a wood burner which is just lovely. The beds and very comfortable and the shower works great. Highly recommended and Jan is a very good host

“We had an amazing time. The welcome pack was a really nice touch, we had brought so much food ourselves that meant we did not take full advantage of it. A mistake we would not make again. We were so central and close to amenities that we ate out for the duration of our stay. The access to parking was a big advantage so thank you for arranging that. The cottage was homely, quaint and comfy. We explored all aspects of Knaresborough and found time to use the train for a day trip to York. It was my birthday on Friday and had a lovely meal at Zolska indians. We are looking forward to visiting again. Thanks for everything the whole process was so easy from start to finish.”

Wonderful base to come back to after exploring Yorkshire. Cosy log burner, quirky cottage with everything you might need. Comfy beds and a fab spiral staircase. Handy for exploring the local area. Lavender Tea Rooms, Two Brothers and the Bear at Carriages great for food. Locals very friendly and welcoming.

A really cosy house with lots of character and a real warmth to it. Everything was clean and the beds were very warm at night. The kitchen had everything you needed, the wood burner was great in the living room in the evenings and the nearby parking that Jan organised was well worth it. Any query we had was always very promptly responded to. A great location to visit York, Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales, with pubs, shops and a train station literally seconds away.

What a find! A super little place in Knaresborough within an easy stroll to the town centre. We were pleasantly surprised with the little personal touches. This place has everything you need for a cosy little weekend away. The log fire was already set up, our host provided a few essentials (milk, eggs, bread, etc.). The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen were spotlessly clean. Great shower too. Communication with the host was brilliant, both leading up to our weekend, and throughout our stay. Our host also suggested some great places to eat. We decided on The Bear, which is just at the top of the street. Terrific steaks, local craft ales, and the service was excellent. We also visited the castle, and had a walk around the Nidd valley. All very beautiful. We're craft ale drinkers, and can heartily recommend The Cross Keys for ale, and for the friendliness of the staff. A superb weekend away. Thank you once again!

I love this one from recent guests on airbnb.

Jan arranged parking around the corner which was so convenient and she couldn’t have been a better host. Wonderful cosy cottage with a log burner and lots of character. Close to shops. We had a wonderful time at the Half Moon pub, and Honeybee cafe with amazing coffee at Number Thirteen and I’m afraid lived mainly on the ridiculously wonderful cakes from Hirst’s bakery 5 mins walk away. Wonderful location.

“Lovely cottage with everything we needed. Welcome pack was an unexpected bonus. Ideal position for the town. could not fault it, maybe a little cold untill we lit the log burner but not a problem. Many thanks. (Todays thoughts. Oh well can not help the weather, at least the logs warmed things up, old houses hey,) I love a real fire x
