It’s that time of year again! Time to get your gardening gloves and kitchen pinny’s on. Who has the Moidart Cup in the bag this year?

Looking forward to this years show just over a months time. We are delighted that Maddie Children's Parties/Discos Fort William will attending again as will MAaD Pipe Band. Also pleased to be able to welcome Play Prodigy to the show who will be there doing face painting for us this year.

The bat that travelled from Kinlochmoidart to Glasgow in a suitcase 🦇

This juvenile pipistrelle has had quite a journey! We rereleased her at Kinlochmoidart last night to see other bats from the maternity colony fly out to join her.

Thanks to Tracey the bat rehabber and Eilidh-Ann from Highlife Highlands for getting the bat home!

The Dairy 🐄

As the name suggests, this was originally the working dairy for Kinlochmioidart; providing butter, cheese and cream.

Now converted, our one bedroom cottage is in a quiet secluded spot, surrounded by hills, crags and wildlife.

A stunning day for a walk to mesmerising white sands where the elusive cowrie shell nestles amongst piles of shingle.

We are so excited to be welcoming two of the Scottish Trad scenes's most inspirational musicians and composers Duncan Chisholm and Hamish Napier to two of our special venues. Hamish and Duncan will be bringing new music inspired by Highland landscapes and heritage, together with traditional tunes performed on fiddle, piano and flute. 🎻🎹

Wait for it…🦉 One of those special moments. This owlet wasn’t so wise when it tried to leave its nest! There are all sorts of exciting noises coming from our ancient woodlands at this time of year.

Hello and Welcome!

Kinlochmoidart Estate is an outdoor paradise with a bit of everything on offer!

Whether you’re an avid hill walker, a keen bird watcher, a flying fisherman, or an enthusiastic cyclist, look no further as this area is perfect for it all. A true escape to the highlands, Kinlochmoidart is towered over with hills, surrounded by tranquil lochs and a choice of stunning and secluded beaches nearby. We have wildlife galore, with the red squirrel being our year round resident, who you’ll be sure to catch a glimpse of.

From our cosy cottages ideal for couples; scaling up to our big house which can accommodate up to 18; we can offer a variety of options, and have room for parties up to 50 at one time (please enquire for further info). All the properties are set within the stunning Estate grounds with some resident chickens and the occasional deer roaming free.

On one side of us you’ll find the Ardnamurchan Peninsula (Britain’s most Westerly point) famous for it’s wild and remoteness some say it’s like an island on the mainland! Then on our other side is the ‘Sound of Sleat’ heading towards Mallaig and the small Isles and beyond. Untouched beaches quite often to yourself, unspoilt scenery everywhere you turn and with distilleries, train tours, pony trekking, boat trips all easily accessible, you’ll never be short of something new to do or try.
