A Lochinver Larder pie can be enjoyed ANYWHERE! 🌊

Wild swimming is hugely popular now, and for good reason - braving the bracing temperatures can clear and calm the mind, increase circulation, reduce pain and inflammation, and boost the immune system. Once you get over the initial wee shock to the system, it’s also a lot of fun 🏊‍♀️

And afterwards, you and your swimming pals can warm up with a well-deserved pie 😋

The Bone Caves at Inchnadamph are one of the most special places in North Highlands. The ancient bones of many species have been found here that give us a clue to what animals existed just after the last ice age. If you want to hear the story there is a Ranger guided walk on Thursday 9th September.
You will need to book for this event so please visit https://booking.highlifehighland.com/ and use the booking reference number for this event : 004098ULLA. Remember if you are not a High Life member you can use the guest check out.
See you there?

Ticks might be tiny, but they can have a lasting impact on walkers' health, with some carrying Lyme Disease.

These horrible wee biters are most prominent in the summer months - so now is a good time to *read and share* this blog by our policy manager Helen Todd, to ensure ticks don't spoil your days out walking. 🕷️

Come and visit our first market of the 2021 season this Friday and browse a variety of locally made art, crafts and food. Covid - 19 rules mean it will be a little different from the usual market buzz, but we very much look forward to starting up again after such a long time. Our stallholders for this date are: The Jammery, Stoer Ceramics , The Crafty Crofters, Johnny Ross (Sutherland Horncraft), Louise Bonnie, Louisa Potter (Bearfootwalking), Chris Goodman (Assynt Wood), June (quirky knitted crafts among other things) , Paul Szeiler, Highland Charcuterie, Loch Ewe Seasalt & Seaweed.
Because the normal sit in refreshments aren't possible yet, volunteers from Culag Woods will be selling delicious take away cakes (no drinks) to raise funds.
For more information about stallholders and what they sell, please visit our website (Artists and Crafters page).
We hope to see you soon!
