Sunny days at the Old Royal Naval College โ๏ธ Greenwich is such a beautiful place to explore when the weather is beautiful.
The Old Royal Naval College was originally commissioned by Mary II in the 17th century as a Royal Hospital or almshouse for Navy pensioners. The designs were by renowned architect Christopher Wren but much of the project was left to his trusted assistant Nicholas Hawksmoor. The site then became a Naval College in 1873 (the name that stuck), and the site still serves an educational purpose but it is now mostly home to the University of Greenwich and the Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
