😍Pamporovo is a fantastic ski resort. ⛷It is set high in the Rhodope Mountains among magnificent pine forests at a height of 1,620 metres, it has 38 km of marked ski runs, including the a new 7km long run and 25 kilometers of cross country tracks.
Pamporovo itself is perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers. 🎿It has a wide choice of nursery slopes plus there are plenty of easy and scenic runs higher up the mountain. For the more intermediate skier and snowboarder there are plenty of red runs that are excellent and a great place to practice and improve your technique.

🤍❤️ Did you know that the 1st of March is a holiday called Baba Marta in Bulgaria? Baba Marta means Grandma March and it is a symbol of spring. Today Bulgarians exchange the so-called Martenitsas - decorative pieces of red and white twisted threads, symbolising health and happiness.

The most typical martenitsa represents two small dolls, known as Pizho and Penda. Pizho is the male doll, usually in white color and Penda is the female doll, usually in red color and sistinguished by her skirt. The white is a symbol of innocence, beauty and joy. The red is associated with health, vitality and bravery.

According to the tradition, people wear martenitsas until they see a stork or a fruit tree in blossom. After that people can tie them on a blossoming tree for fertility and health. 🤍❤️ Happy Baba Marta!
