Last week, the beautiful city of Izmir played host to the 2024 SKAL International Meeting, bringing together tourism professionals from around the world.

As one of the most significant associations in the industry, SKAL focuses on promoting global friendship and collaboration within tourism. This year’s meeting not only highlighted the latest trends and challenges in the sector but also provided an invaluable opportunity for networking among members.

A key moment of this gathering occurred on the final day, when 250 attendees were welcomed at Cesme Marina. Under the capable leadership of Toker Gürer, a dedicated SKAL member and our marina host, the event underscored the warm hospitality and vibrant tourism culture of the region.

Guests were able to view the outstanding marina services and facilities available to tourists and the yachting community.

Support continues to Carriacou at the Monthly Port Louis Marina Drinks!

Port Louis Marina’s monthly 'Meet the Team Drinks' saw around 40 guests join on 31st July for a fun evening of interaction, generosity and a small celebration.

This event was extra special in that we asked guests to bring and donate water supplies for the devasted islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, the team at Port Louis Marina are continuing to support and help local and regional boats close to the lagoon.

We are actively seeking opportunities to work with partners to help our neighbours in Carriacou Island.

An update from Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina: our thoughts and support go to Carriacou Island who were in the eye of Hurricane Beryl.

Hurricane Beryl Update: The team and berth holders at Port Louis Marina are safe and well, and there is minimal reported hurricane damage to the yachts or marina facilities at present. The marina followed the Government guidelines and closed the marina 24hrs before the hurricane was anticipated to hit land in Grenada. The team also followed the lengthy Port Louis Marina Hurricane Plan for 2024 and many additional internal protocols.

Everyone worked tirelessly in very unpredictable circumstances to ensure the safety of each other, the community within the marina, and the berthed yachts.

Our thoughts are with Island which saw the eye of Hurricane Beryl, and we will set about a plan to help provide aid and resources to our closest neighbours.

We shall inform you as soon as possible, how best to help or donate to those that have lost so much in the aftermath of .

Yesterday we were welcomed to Agios Nikolaos Marina who will be strategic partners with the new marina opening in 2026. With services and facilities for all yacht owners, Agios Nikolaos is a hub of yachting activity close to the towns bustling streets of traditional shops and restaurants!

The boutique marina project is in construction, and today has marked an opportunity for local and international press to enjoy a day onsite meeting the exceptional design and construction teams. With private residences, a luxury hotel and sandy beaches the new resort including marina, will be fully integrated to offer visiting marine and hotel and resident guests a genuine Cretan experience with an exceptional level of standard in seaside living. We love this project!

For the 4th year, Port Louis Marina welcomed 25 intrepid sailors across the Atlantic part of the annual Viking Explorers Rally. We are delighted each year to see the rally come back to the shores of Grenada, and even more pleased that everyone enjoys their time on the island!
