I visited the new Gilbert and George gallery a few weeks ago such a great space once a former brewery entry is free open Thursday to Sunday definitely worth a visit.

The building is now the L’oscar Hotel but formerly a Baptist Chapel dedicated to the 16th century writer and preacher John Bunyan author of The Pilgrims Progress he is buried at Bunhill Fields. ’oscar

I popped into the Ever After Garden in Grosvenor Square on a guided Christmas Lights tour , you can dedicate a Rose in memory of a loved one and make a donation to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity suggested donation of £10 per fleet.

The Hand and Shears pub No1 Middle Street , Cloth Fair dates back to 1532 the present building around 1852 located on the site of the Bartholomew Fair which ran from 1133-1855 originally set up to trade in cloth the market was opened cutting a piece of cloth to start proceedings which still carries on today to open events.Nice little pub with lots of character.

The Castle pub is the only pub in the city to hold a Pawn Brokers Licence (see sign) issued by King George IV who it is said granted a license to the publican so he could pawn his gold pocket watch to carry on gambling on the c**k fighting ,,,

I came across this sculpture on a art and architecture walk over the weekend called “Absent”2018 commemorating the fallen by Nicholas Dimbleby (younger brother of Richard and Johnathan) it can be found outside the Aviva HQ , St Helen’s Undershaft in the city. Must have walked past it dozens of times amazing always something new to see.
