Swipe to see the before and after of the 100+ year old cart arms that are behind the name of our new barn➡️

The cart arms were salvaged from Winchcombe  Reclamation Yard and would of originally been attached to a horse to pull an old farm cart or wagon.
After being repurposed, they have been given a new life and have been transformed into a unique lighting feature that we feel adds character and history to the barn.
We love using of salvaged materials, with all of our barns featuring different reclaimed items/materials and the creativity that can come from repurposing them.

Have you ever wondered the reason behind The Go Cart Barns’ name? Well it’s quite literally because there is a rather ancient wooden go cart hanging from the beam above the kitchen island which has found a new purpose as a totally unique light fitting….
The go cart itself, we think is around 70 years old and is a bit of a family treasure which has been well loved and used by the children when they were younger. There are even stories about it being ridden down the Old Hill in Longhope before it was a busy main rode. Anyone that lives in the area knows that hill is steep!
