Are you starting to think of Christmas & week-ends away prior to the festive season then look no further than “Number 3 at Seton Sands” which is only 14 miles outside of Edinburgh.
There are 2 ways to get into Edinburgh, by bus LTR 26 Seton Sands, the bus departs from the entrance to the park & goes right through Princess Street in Edinburgh. The journey will take you on average 45 minutes but if you have a car you can choose from 3 local train stations; Longniddry-5 mins from park, Prestonpans-8 mins or Wallyford-10 mins, all with free parking and an average of 12-15 minutes into Edinburgh Waverley Train Station just off Princess Street.

Edinburgh is truly magical as the festive season heats up, the Christmas Market opens on Friday 15th November & closes on Saturday 4th January 2025 with market stalls from all over the globe so there truly is something for everyone. You also have food & drink vendors selling the most delicious fayre to get you into the Christmas spirit…literally! 🎄
There is also the enclosed heated ferris wheel & other thrilling rides all along the Princess Street Gardens.
Pop up to George Street for more shopping & the large indoor ice-rink, please book your spaces as this is very popular & sells out quickly especially on the w-ends. 😅

Number 3 is perfect for those chilly winter days & nights, it is a residential built spec lodge with Double Glazing, Hive central heating with TRV’s on every radiator for complete control, warm lounge, cooler bedrooms. 😴

With 5* reviews now for our 3rd season for comfort, cleanliness, space & location, whats not to love!
Quality bed linen, Hungarian down duvets
1 shower room, 1 family bathroom with shower over the bath, king size bed in a spacious bedroom with dressing table, walk through wardrobe hallway to en-suite bathroom & full size single beds in the twin room.
All our beds have upgraded spring mattresses & memory foam toppers.

So on Saturday we were out on our jollies & headed to Fox Lake Adventures just off the A1 at Dunbar, it’s only 20 minutes along the road from Seton Sands by car.

My daughter & her friend had a fab time on the Foxfall watercourse. At only £21 for a 50 minute session including your wet suit/helmet & life-vest is great entertainment value!

Theres so much to choose from at Fox Lake, something for everyone or simply a walk round the grounds.
Theres a lovely cafe & if the weather is not the best for spectators there is an old railway carriage fitted out with tables & seats to watch the fun unfolding.

Theres plenty onsite free parking too.

We then took a wee drive into Dunbar, 5 minutes further along the road, bought ice creams as the weather was fantastic & and stick of rock for the girls.

All in all we had a fantastic day out, with so much to see & do off park its not always necessary to purchase stay/play passes for on-site activities.
Get out & explore the East Lothian area, it’s fab. 🫶

CHECK OUT, PLEASE READ.

Your “Check I time is available from 3pm on the first day of hire.
Please do not arrive at, or enter the holiday home before your check in time. Should your check in time be delayed due to events outwith our control we will contact you to let you know and do everything to minimise any delay.
At “check in” time please make your way to the holiday home. Should we not be able to meet you at 3pm or a convenient time, we will forward the details on how to get your keys on the day of arrival by text or email.
We will provide guests with one set of keys, please return the keys to the key safe on departure .
Should you take the keys home accidentally we would ask that these are returned by “signed for post” at your own expense.
Should you lose your keys during your stay, we will withhold your deposit as we will have to change the locks.

CHECK OUT

We hope you have had a lovely stay with us here at Number 3 at Seton Sands.
A few things before you leave to travel home.

We provide a cleaning pack please do not use bleach within the holiday home. Any damage caused by bleach to towels floor coverings etc will be chargeable to your deposit.

Please strip duvet covers, sheets, pillow slips from the beds. I will change over all protective bedding on arrival. Please place stripped bedding on top of each beds protector.

Please leave the caravan as you first find it, we do not charge a cleaning fee, however, should we have extra cleaning of pots pans, ovens, etc and a deeper clean is required then we will deduct a cleaning fee from your deposit of £50.
We ask you to please wipe over surfaces, and run the vacuum around.

Please take any rubbish to the nearest bin store, they are located at the end of the street.

Should it be cooler months, we would ask that on departure you turn down the thermostat to 10* and put the windows on the first latch.

Please advise myself of any damage or breakages, I can then try to source replacement prior to our next guests arriving.

Departure is no later than 10am unless discussed with myself. Leaving late has an impact on our cleaning schedule for the day. Should I not be present when you depart if earlier than 10am please text to let me know you are leaving and return the keys to the safe, and jumble the code.

The beauty of a residential lodge is it holds its heat…not that it’s been on today as its a warm day!
The lodge is sitting at 22’1 & my home is 20’2, almost a difference of 2’ degrees.

At Number 3 at Seton Sands we strive to give guests the wow factor from the minute they walk into the Lodge.
We have now had several items damaged from guests using bleach within the Lodge.

The Lodge is cleaned to a very high standard in between guests & bleach is not necessary & has now caused damage to items that now require to be replaced!

It is in my terms & conditions that we kindly request guests not to use any kind of bleach within the Lodge.

In future if items are bleach burnt you will be charged & the amount deducted from your deposit.

PLEASE DO NOT USE BLEACH 🌻

My dates at Number 3 at Seton Sands are sold out until Friday 23rd August however my sister Louise who has a sea front pitch in her stunning caravan, “Caravan at Seton Sands” has availability.
Please note while I accept 1 small dog, Louise does not accept any pets in her van. 🌻

Did you know, Kinnaird Retail Park is only 20 minutes by car from Seton Sands & has an Odeon cinema amongst other great retail outlets but what I didn’t know that if your already with Amazon Prime once a month you can get 2 tickets for £10….so guess where we are! 😂
With my rug rats, family time, seeing “A quiet place: Day One” bring on the jump scares!

This is why we don’t allow dogs to be left in the caravan on their own, the Lodge gets incredibly warm & it’s not fair on the dogs & can cause stress on them.
If you travel with your dog please know that you need to take them out with you, they are allowed access to the on-site restaurants but not the entertainment venue’s so please bare that in mind prior to booking. 🫶

At Seton Sands the Lothian Regional Bus LRT 26/seton sands stops right at the park & goes into Edinburgh & you can get off at Princess Street st the Waverly Steps, take in the sights of Edinburgh as you walk up Cockburn Street (pronounced Coburn), its a steep street so a gentle walk and onto the famous Royal Mile with all its pubs and gift shops, ancient beautiful tenement buildings that line either side of the wide cobbled street. The Castle Esplanade is where the Tattoo is held and has acts from all over the world come to perform…it really is worth every penny!

Out on my jollies tonight at Edinburgh Playhouse to see “Six”!
If you’ve not seen it, get your tickets booked as it’s well worth it. 🫶

Book your tickets well in advance of your stay for any show. 😅

The LRT bus that departs from the park will take you into Edinburgh or if taking the car there is limited free parking after 5.30pm on Royal Terrace which is just a 5 minute walk from the Theatre.

We made a night of it & booked a table at Toni Macaroni before the show, food was lush. 😍

Another wee bonus, because the lodge is residential spec it doesn’t lose heat as quickly as a holiday static caravan.
We cleaned the lodge today with windows & doors open to air the lodge between guests, heating turned off & its still sat at 23’ tonight while its 10’ outside! 😊

You control the heating via the Hive thermostat situated on the fireplace, the hot water is on so there is no need to touch the boiler. 🫶
