This little chap popped into the kitchen to say hello.
The Natterjack Toads are very vocal at night, I love hearing their chatter 😁 and the family of Owls hooting to each other too 🥰 Never get tired of life in the peaceful countryside 💜

Woke up to the frost 🥶 Put Rodneys coat on…he was not very impressed! It did fit him nice and snug, maybe a little too snug 🥹 And off to the beach we went. Beautiful walk as always, whatever the weather ☀️☔️💨

After the storm last night we took to the beach to see what it was like. Amazing to see how the power of the wind and waves had made a wall of sand on a usually flat beach. I thought it would be calm but the sea was still raging!

Very stormy sea at the beach today for our morning walk. Even though the wind was strong, the sea rough and loud, it was still beautiful. So funny watching Rodney chase the foam from the waves and the confusion on his face when he tried to pick it up! 🌊 🐶

Another beautiful sunny day. Went to Weelsby Woods. A really lovely peaceful park, not where you would expect it at all. Rodney had great fun chasing all the squirrels 🐿️, they are too clever for him though!

Decided to go to the beach and enjoy the early morning sunshine ☀️ Even at 8am, the sky was blue and the temperature was warm, and a couple of people swimming in the sea! Rodney and I were not brave enough to venture in 😬

Even though the storm clouds were overhead, it made the beach even more beautiful and tranquil. Rodney and I enjoyed a peaceful stroll on the deserted sands 🙂

Had an absolutely amazing day at the Woodhall Spa 1940s weekend. Saw the Lancaster and the Spitfire, sent shivers down my spine. Met and chatted to some lovely people, and even took Rodney, he enjoyed the day too! ☺️

I had just been saying how I have never seen a hedgehog here considering we are in the middle of the countryside…and as if by magic, this little lady (or chap) appears on the doorstep this evening!
Absolutely adorable, gave her some of Rodney’s food and she had a wander around the garden. I hope I see her again 🥰

The Alford Easter Craft Market is certainly worth a visit. Lots of lovely local stalls, and lots of homemade cakes 🍰 Dogs welcome so of course Rodney will be joining the adventure 🐶
