A few more places to try for lunch in Rye… Hayden’s in the High Street (brunch and lunch, probably best to book a table)

The Kino cinema has a lovely outdoor seating area with shade.

Layfield’s is new to Rye and situated behind ‘Simon the Pieman’ near the church in the middle of Rye. This is a tapas garden terrace.

The old Grain store in the Strand offers good family food and is dog friendly. Seating indoors and outside.

We had a walk through the PYO fields to meet the pigs at Tibbs Farm. Enjoy a coffee or lunch at the cafe with views across the fields.
Looking forward to returning next summer for fruit picking. 🍓

We are looking forward to welcoming our first guests of the season tomorrow. The house is ready and the beach is as beautiful as ever.

We finally got around to walking from Rye Harbour to Winchelsea beach yesterday. A beautiful walk through the nature reserve and along the beach. 3.6 miles (one way) and coffee and cake at Winchelsea Beach cafe to finish.
