Our closest shop who go the extra mile to offer superb customer service, fresh produce and continually innovate. Super florist and licensed cafe / pizza on site too! Do visit if you can or PM me when you are visiting and I can arrange for goodies to be collected and in the hut for you ready for your arrival x

They may be small, but they are mighty! We are frequently complimented on how well equipped and thought out the kitchen is, ensuring you can do as much, or as little cooking as you like.
The bespoke kitchens in our huts pack in:
* 3 ring gas hob
* 2 shelf gas oven
* Half Belfast sink
* Fridge (tested for full size wine bottle 😉) with freezer compartment
* Waste bin and recycling bin
* Wine / fizz / water glasses for 2
* Cutlery and dinner service for 2
* Saucepans x 2 / frying pan / griddle pan / colander / salad bowl
* Chopping board & full suite of kitchen utensils and sharp knives.
* Complimentary tea / coffee / sugar / olive oil / salt / pepper / kitchen foil / cling film is popped in too 👀🥳

Shepherd huts were originally designed as towable rural refuges for shepherds tending roaming flocks.
We love how at home in the landscape our huts look … and a sprinkling of snow is literally the icing on the cake 👌
With a log burner, traditional wool fleece insulation, sumptuous bedding, heated shower and oak floors the chill is definitely only on the outside. Come and try for yourself; and fall in love with being at one with the environment.
Let the clocks stop and seep when you are tired, eat when you are hungry.

Delicious food on offer at the open tap night Wincle Beer Company Ltd this weekend 🙌👌
The last of the seasonal pop ups for 2022 they run the first Friday of every month - watch this space for next years dates!

First Friday of the month and it is our last open tap night in this current series! Join us and be one of the first to try our latest seasonal ale Bengal Buttress made with fresh green hops - a brilliant compliment to the food from Nasi Lemak Manchester who is with us both Friday night and Saturday lunch time!
Food served:
Friday 5.30 - 8.30 (whilst supplies last!)
Saturday 12.30 -4.00 (whilst stocks last)
Bar and shop opening hours over the weekend:
Friday 10 - 4.30 / 5.30 - 9pm

Stroll down to the river from the huts, walk upstream on the footpaths virtually all the way via Hanging Stone, Luds Church and Gradbach Mill and you will arrive at this beauty spot. A super walk.

Caught the seam between bright sunshine and thick hail ridden cloud on a walk today; and it struck me how nature is coping. One of the oldest oak trees for miles around (branches at the top) is still in tight bud whilst trees on the skyline and more exposed are in nearly full leaf. Isn’t nature amazing?
Hail in May is less amazing of course 😱
