I have 2 dog friendly holiday cottages on the solway coast in Cumbria . We are 100 metres from the beach and one mile to the village of Allonby. We are situated on the stunning Solway Coast , and a short drive away to the historic towns of Cockermouth, Maryport and Silloth. Great location to explore the Northern Lakes. Beautiful views of Skiddaw and the Scottish coast line. Excellent routes for walkers and cyclists.

Our cottages are set in a quiet setting next to our small working farm , with stunning views of the countryside. Allonby has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including the Lake District National Park and it’s attractions including Lakes Distillery, Go Ape, and Tree top Adventures.
If you are keen fisherman you can throw a line from the beach.
We have 2 pubs in the village of Allonby 15 minutes walk ( The ship dog friendly and jacks surf bar ) , The lowther at mawbray dog friendly .

Lots of availability on our cl site Allonby solway coast Cumbria. 100 metres from beach no restrictions. 3 pubs (2 dog friendly) 15 minutes walk into village / cafes , ice cream shop and general store . Stone throw away into lakes . Fantastic views of the fells and Scotland from the site . Come support us bookings down .

Just back from a fantastic stay at Old Kiln Old Kiln Farm at Allonby in Cumbria. We return frequently to this site for many reasons :
The owners Vera, Joe and Philip Williamson are so kind and welcoming
The site is spacious with fantastic views towards the fells and mountains of Cumbria one way and to the mountains in Scotland the other,
It is really close to a beach that rarely has anyone else on it,
Near to Maryport and Silloth for shopping,
Copious birds to look for. There was a flock of at least a hundred curlew on the beach most days,
Beautiful sunsets across The Solway Firth,
On a cycle route.
There is EHU, shower and toilet and WiFi.

Give it a go - hopefully you’ll love it as much as we do.

We are based on the solway coast Allonby , 100 metres from beach . 3 pubs , 2 cafes and ice cream shop 15 minutes walk on the coastal path to Allonby . 30 minutes from the Lake District.
We are a working farm , from April we have lots of lambs in our fields next to property. We are dog friendly and allow multiple dogs ( please ask when booking ) .
To book I take £50 deposit and payment on arrival.

Alba's next great adventure starts on June 19th!

Her birthday is the 11th and we'll have an adventure week before we head off walking.

She'll start back in Grange-over-sands and over 10 days make her way to Gretna.
