🟡⚽️ Gold Match Report ⚽️🟡

This weekend our New Tupton Golds played Tansley Phoenix in a very wet and windy game.

Our Captain for this match was Harry W, picked by our coaches for his recent efforts at training and matches. One of the highlights was during training, where Coach David said the focus from Harry getting into position his communication for passing and finding the space was spot on.

Well Done Harry.

So as the game got underway our Golds came out fighting with the team spirit they have been showing us for the last few weeks.
Tansley slipped a goal passed us, but the team stuck together and soon responded, and kept going with some great defending, super passing, fantastic running and super strikes at the goal, taking us into half time.

The team continued the second half as they did the first, and we as coaches and parents got to watch some great offensive and defensive play, up until the final whistle.

As always the coaches are proud of every single one of them for their team performance, brilliant team effort, and giving 100% for every second on that pitch.

This week's POTM goes to the following player as selected by the ref.

🏅Oscar for his solid performance inbetween the posts, giving it his all, some fantastic saves throwing himself all over the box, and being an iron wall. Also he had a cracking run on goal when he came outfield and being unlucky hitting the woodwork.

Well done Oscar

We have had a busy couple of weeks trying to finalise the brochure but here is a throw back to the other week when we were away in Scotland and did Loch Ness, Kingussie, Pitlochry, Strathspey Railway and the Dalwhinnie Distillery!

🅿️🚌 Derbyshire Dales District Council are currently undertaking a public consultation on possible sites to house travellers, one of which is the coach park in the inland resort of Matlock Bath which has been closed for nearly 2 years and has been designated a tolerated traveller site by the district council who own and manage the site.

Coach parking is at a premium in the UK, and many local authorities are re-evaluating their estates, looking at alternative uses for coach and public parking areas. It’s important that we ensure the future of these vital resources and the UKCOA encourages all members to respond to the consultation which only takes a few minutes to complete. The consultation closes on 22nd September.

As many of you will be aware Matlock Bath Coach Park has been a temporary site for travellers. The coach park has been out of use during this time so coaches have not been able to bring visitors to Matlock Bath thus having an adverse effect on businesses and trade. If this effects you please sign the petition. We appreciate the travellers require a site but banning coach from Matlock Bath doesn't see fair either.

Restore our coach and car park to its proper use
