This is a really interesting project, if you're out that way see if you can spot any pink stones and report them

If you're out on the beach between Bacton and Sea Palling, you may come across a strange discovery!
A Deep History Detective community project run by Pathways to Ancient Britain is examining how artefacts move along the Deep History Coast – how far they move and over what timeframe. And so, bright pink numbered stones have been placed along this stretch of coastline. Great excitement here. Andrew has always wanted a pizza oven. Well he bought one which was delivered to our drive yesterday, all half a ton of it. Andrew Graves to the rescue this morning and the pizza oven is in situ. It has to be cured with small fires for 5-6 days before we can make pizzas in it.

Andrew and I bought a little trailer last year. It is a moveable double bed which we thought would be useful for a grumpy teenager who wants their own space or if you just need an extra bed next to a hut. Andrew and I have very generously tested out a tea room for you all. Andrew had hot chocolate and I had a tart rhubarb cordial then we had a Norfolk Apple cake and a Raspberry Bakewell both delicious. The Parlour Room next to Binham Priory is well worth a visit. They also sell raw milk and local cheeses.

The Parlour in Binham, North Norfolk is a cafe serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Set in a beautifully converted barn on a working dairy farm we are open six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm.

You have to look hard but the snowdrops are coming out on verge at the front of the house and the daffodils are coming up in the clearing by Goosewing. Andrew, Carl and I have started a big spring clean. It's a big job but quite satisfying to see the results. Will post some photos next week.

Those of you who visited us this year will have noticed that the pigs have outgrown their accommodation. In particular, the girls Rosie, Daisy and Lilly, have had a hard year with all the rain and mud. The girls have been moved to a lovely place further north in England and Ben and Thor, Maggie and Parsley (the goat) together with the remaining cockerels have moved on with their owner. It will take us a while to clear their pens and to restore the land but we are thinking of some replacement animals that are easier to manage, maybe not quite as smelly or as noisy as we know that our visitors enjoyed interacting with them. We will be taking time to plan this properly however.

Andrew and I took a day off today to visit the gardens at The Old Vicarage East Ruston. Can't imagine why we haven't been there sooner, amazing gardens and well worth a visit.

Andrew has been for an evening swim at Rosslyn Glamping, the water temperature is holding at around 30 degrees. The pictures look a little eerie.

Andrew drove to Leicester and back yesterday to collect a new heat pump for the swimming pool. Our old one has been running continuously since the pool has been in action and needs a bit of an overhaul. So new heat pump is now connected and running and the old one will be overhauled and kept as a spare.
