This is a lovely walk but be prepared to give way on the almost single track road and watch out for the many potholes. Saying that, it is worth visiting.

Apart from visiting the very interesting leadmine museum in Leadhills this might be another fun thing to do there this summer.
Leadhills is only half an hour away from Moffat.🙂

Momentous day at Leadhills.
This was a test train to test the clearances at Glengonnar Halt. It is however the first train to go up the line in three years. The last passenger service was in 2019.
Three years later and we are nearly ready to welcome passengers on selected dates in 2022.

Spotted from lodge 4 this week a very healthy squirrel which is very encouraging to see after the outbreak of squirrel pox in Moffat earlier this year.

That's the Heathery bears just out of hibernation. They have been to a beauty salon for a makeover. Wouldn't say where! Looking forward to seeing old and new friends soon.

Going up Gallow hill this morning I was taken aback by the sound of a bleating lamb,a very early sign that spring is coming.😊🌷
