In the name of market research we had a drive out to Craster to try out Pipers Pitch and are now able to confirm the rumours, tweets and posts are true! The Auctumuchty Rolls are A MAZE ING, say yes to the Rothbury Rager relish from The Mad Jam Woman. The Craster Kipper Buns are as you'd expect fresh kippers from Robsons Smokehouse kippers don't come better. When you receive a review like this........
We are four lifelong friends who have ended up far from each other. Over the last six years, we devised a method of spending quality time together by hiring holiday cottages twice a year. We have always had great holidays together but sadly not always good cottages.
However, we struck lucky this year by booking Shepherds Cottage. As we approached along a slightly bumpy farmers' track and Shepherds first came into view, we thought Oh! No, we have neighbours as the property is so big. No neighbours the cottage was all ours to spread around in fabulous size.
It was presented immaculately, spotlessly clean and fresh, the bedding was of good quality l and so so cosy as were the towels. Everything you needed was in the kitchen and it again had a quality feel All four of us voted this was the best cottage we had rented specifically for our needs of peace, quiet and space and being surrounded by nature and the unforgettable stunning views. Because of my mobility issues, I had the downstairs double ensuite...Be warned the bed is so comfy its hard to get up and out.

We know The Shepherd's Cottage at Hope Farm is bringing lots of people pleasure but when you see messages like this it's all so worth it......."Home from a lovely weeks summer holiday in a truly special place. On our first evening I was in the cottage garden with the dogs at 10.30pm in the twilight and heard something that made my spine tingle. It was going around and around the cottage, at low level. Turns out to be a snipe drumming --- never heard that before - just wonderful. Oh and later in the week - in the photo - where else would you see a snipe on the garden fence whilst washing up!?
