Our neighbour Coquet Island, Amble Harbour and Marina, Warkworth Beach and the beautiful North Sea- all taken a few days ago!

This gorgeous, empty, dog friendly beach is definitely one of our favourite places. Have you ever been? Unfortunately there are no crowds to follow there😉

Newcastle upon Tyne! Many of our guests travel for the day into Newcastle to explore the famous Geordie land. There are many many great cafe and restaurants within the city centre but this special place is definitely one you should visit if you're coming for the day. Proven Goods Co is just hidden in the Byker area of the city with a variety of doughnuts and snacks. We had to try it for ourselves including Marshmallow fluff on a hot chocolate - absolute heaven 🤤

🫣It can be stressful, can't it?

Trying to book a without overpaying- or worse... being scammed.

Nobody relishes paying middlemen agencies a huge booking fee- everyone knows is usually the cheapest option, but how do you know that facebook bargain break is real?

I wish there was a 100% perfect guarantee- if there is one I don't know it! We started out on Airbnb, and still see most our bookings come from there. With well over 600 wholly positive reviews, and many returning guests over 8 years of hosting, I would hope anybody would trust our page now!😄

6 years ago I shared this post celebrating the amazing Jaspers Bistro being the top rated restaurant in the whole of Northumberland.

Well 6 years later, it still is!! Of course back then I didn't know we would have a holiday let just 2 minutes walk away- and from the reviews we receive I can guarantee Jaspers is a firm favourite!💛❤️

Also making the top 10 in Northumberland is another Amble resident: 1911 Coffee Co. - a great place for an earlier meal and a popular stop on our high street!☕️😄

We are completely spoiled for choice when it comes to stunning walks here in

Our only advice is if you want to share the experience, you need to bring folk with you! You can walk for miles and miles on our beautiful beaches and hardy see a soul- especially in winter😉❤️💛

With the next few days due to be dry, conditions should be good for a winter walk.

It's a badly kept secret these days but Northumberland is a brilliant area for dark skies, star gazing and of course Aurora spotting😄🌌

It's the perfect time of year for it! Drive, bus or train, we have limited availability in September and plenty of BARGAIN dates in October and November- including the school holidays! What's your excuse? 😃⚡️

There are so many activities to do in Northumberland, especially on a rainy day like today! Barnacre Alpacas offer walks with their wonderful animals, who are incredibly gentle and friendly creatures, as long as you've got some sliced carrots in your pockets😅

We enjoyed our walk today after a busy shift yesterday getting our homes ready for the next guests, and it's to a pleasure to support another Northumberland business. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Close to the border in Northumberland is Norham Castle! We were fortunate to have a few days off to explore Norham and its famous castle. We had the ruins to ourselves to walk around and climb up the steps in the tower. Northumberland is well known for its castles and coastline - it was lovely to see a castle inland for a change 😁
