Happy 8th birthday to the chief ratter.
She’s having one of her best days - a bit of rat checking this morning, running alongside the quad & now sunbathing! Sunning herself for the 1st time this year I think - certainly in the North Pennines AONB
And guess what all that means - the lambs shouldn’t be long!
They are very late this year due to circumstances in the autumn but given the weather that we’ve all had, I suspect that is no bad thing. Too many farmers are struggling to cope with the dreadful weather, both arable and livestock

And another prolapse - this time in one of the newbies so she’s on her own for a couple of days.
As a newbie, she isn’t used to Winnie so was watching her closely whilst W was on rabbit patrol. The older ewes are used to her being around & don’t seem to notice her at all.

Now you might get an idea of how small Little Larry is compared to the eWes.

His mum Annie was starting to prolapse again so put in a stitch to try to prevent it so she’s on her own for a couple of days. if not successful, she’ll be back in the ‘harness’ like last year
