There was a great win for DAZED & CONFUSED tonight at Torr Vale Tap with a superb £146 being raised towards New Mills Event Insurance.

Massive thanks to our raffle prize donors, Epic Pizza, Gaffneys Sweets & Treats , Thornsett Brewery & Hop Yard, Jenny Rothwell Jewellery Design & Pack Horse Inn New Mills, we couldn’t have raised that money without you and you made a lot of people very happy.

Next Thursday we’re at The Sycamore Inn Public House & B&B supporting the Christmas Lights Switch On and don’t forget the Live Music Quiz at the Torr Vale Tap on Sunday at 7pm.

We have a new session starting for our mini artists that are 11+…
Does your child love art?
Do they need some extra support at GCSE or ALevel?

We currently run specialist art workshops on a Saturday from our studio in New Mills, where we focus on any skills from drawing, painting, sculpting, digital art or photography.

The 11+ group will start in November, from 11:30am. Through process-oriented creativity, our students can freely express themselves, explore various materials and techniques, and cultivate their imagination. This approach fosters individuality, originality, and a deeper understanding of artistic materials. It also enhances focus, concentration, and emotional expression. Within our non-judgmental environment, young artists can fearlessly explore their abilities, resulting in a richer portfolio and a genuine love for art.

This Thursday’s Quizit New Mills comes from Torr Vale Tap and is raising funds to pay for Insurance for New Mills Events, which sounds a bit dull, but the quiz isn’t and you can enter it with a team of any size as long as you pay £1 (cash) per person. Quiz starts at 9pm but get there early to guarantee a seat and pick up the picture round.

There’s also an ace raffle, last week prizes were donated by the generous likes of Peak Bean, Swizzels and Bukharaa Newmills resulting in a superb £107 being raised towards blackout curtains for St George’s Parish Hall. Thank you all!

Last week’s winners were FUNKY BUNCH, but they’ll be docked 3 points for being champions so anyone could win the £20 voucher for next week’s venue The Sycamore Inn Public House & B&B where we’ll be collecting for this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On (Sat 30th Nov).
