The ABI Beverley is a luxury two bedroom, self catering static caravan just a five minute drive from Crantock Beach.
The calendar is now open for summer holiday reservations from July 15 to August 31, 2024.
Seven or fourteen day stays only, beginning and ending on Saturday, and a small deposit will reserve your week(s) in beautiful Crantock on the north coast of Cornwall.
Christina’s Place offers comfortable accommodations for four. Although we love animals, this caravan is not pet friendly. Smoking is not permitted.
The caravan is not far from Crantock Beach (you can walk through the fields from Trevella Park and along the coastal path to the beach) or drive to the NT car park in Crantock in five minutes where you can park free all day if you are a National Trust member. The caravan is a short drive from Polly Joke, Holywell and several other beautiful beaches in Newquay. Some scenes from Poldark and Game of Thrones prequel were filmed here.
A modern fitted kitchen with integrated fridge/freezer, gas hob, microwave, slow cooker and extensive counter space will allow you to prepare your favourite meals when you prefer to stay in and there is also a dining set with umbrella on the south and west facing decking for your al fresco dining enjoyment. Grazing sheep can be seen in the fields across the Gannel and the vibe here is definitely chill.
Unlimited and dependable wifi is provided and there is a 43” smart TV in the lounge. There is a small assortment of Cornish novels and some jigsaw puzzles for your entertainment.
An electric fire, double glazed windows and central heating will ensure your comfort on those mizzly, damp days that are part of the coastal weather system and before you know it, the clouds will blow away and the sun will be shining again. Crantock weather can change quickly and seems to have its own microclimate.
If you like star gazing, you will be impressed with the dark skies at Trevella. There is no light pollution in Crantock and if walking at night, it is a good idea to bring a torch. In September you will find apples and blackberries for picking in the park and on the footpaths.
For your added convenience, there is a washing machine so you can freshen up clothing during your stay. Laundry detergent is provided. The airers are great for drying your clothes outside using wind and solar power and there is also an ironing board and iron.
The master bedroom boasts a king size bed with a cool touch memory foam mattress topper, an ensuite with deep bathtub as well as a shower, ample wardrobe space, storage space above the king size bed and a dressing table with mirror.
The second bedroom has twin beds with a wardrobe and storage space above the bed.
There is also a family bathroom with a large shower and built in seat.
For your family’s safety, there are smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors as well as egress windows in both bedrooms.
Both lounge and bedrooms have built in USB points for charging your electronics.
The wrap around decking offers a pleasant space to sit and enjoy the outdoors and is fully enclosed for your peace of mind with young travellers.
Guests can enjoy the on-site heated swimming pool during summer months at no extra charge, where qualified lifeguards are on duty during opening hours. The pool depth is graduated from two to four feet.
Trevella Park also has two fishing lakes if you would like to try your angling skills. This activity, as well as the crazy mini golf, has to be arranged at the reception office.
The on-site general store has an assortment of food items and beverages if you need something quickly. Park roads are paved and well maintained.
There are two excellent pubs, The Cornishman and Old Albion Inn Crantock Village in the heart of the village, as well as The Jam Jar Kitchen. A bit further out towards West Pentire, you will find C-Bay and BOWGIE INN where you can dine whilst enjoying a view of the surf in Crantock Bay.
On the opposite side of the River Gannel on Pentire, is the renowned The Fern Pit Cafe, so famous for their crab sandwiches and fresh lobster salads, prepared with the day’s fresh catch. If you don’t feel like cooking at home, you certainly won’t go hungry!
There is a post office and Crantock Village Stores that sells food, including fresh dairy, meat and produce as well as beverages, including wine, beer and spirits. Fresh pasties, sausage rolls and bread are delivered every morning. I can personally vouch for their deliciousness!! There is also a small collection of souvenir merchandise.
Water sports are a big attraction at Crantock - surfing, paddle boarding or kayaking. Big Green Surf School located in the NT beach car park can provide you with rentals and lessons at a reasonable cost.
Bed linens and towels (not beach towels) are provided for four and a Cornish welcome hamper will be awaiting you upon your arrival. We do want you to enjoy your stay and appreciate your feedback when you leave, so please feel free to leave a message in the guest book or on our page.
Please message or email me if you have questions and would like information on availability or pricing.
