You don't have to wait for the weather to enjoy the beach and an ice cream 😋 Even on a grey day, Cornish beaches are beautiful places for a walk. We saw horses enjoying a sandy stroll and tiny dogs swimming in rock pools 😊

We managed a lovely break at the caravan to round off the summer holidays, visiting the Eden Project, Lanhydrock National Trust, Dairyland Farm Park, Crantock Beach/Newquay and Beachcomber, oh and of course, we fitted in a little fishing 🤭

Can't believe the kids are back to school this week, so of course, already planning our next visit, everyone needs something to look forward to

Even on a grey day, St Ives is just lovely, so much to see and do, beautiful galleries, unique shops or just hang out on the beach, you won't be disappointed, but arrive early if you want to find a parking space

Enjoyed a lovely walk amongst the lavender this afternoon, just down the road from Bolingey Lakes
The kids loved the mud kitchen and having a swing in the woods

It isn't all brilliant blue sky at White Acres Holiday Park today, though this photo would be different if taken from the other direction 🤭 but thought the thundery looking sky was a bit more fitting with the pirate ship 🏴‍☠️
There are picnic benches scattered around the park, whether you just want to watch the kids and not have to sit on the ground or enjoy a family picnic, the benches are rather handy 👍

I am so proud of our little home from home, ready to receive our first guests of 2022. I am far too excited about having little things like cushions and DVDs back, hope it makes your break just a little bit more comfortable, happy holidays 🏖

The Japanese Garden is absolutely stunning and well worth a visit and just up the road.
The little village of St Mawgan in Pydar is so lovely, park, tea room and pub, all you need for a fabulous afternoon

Charlestown is a lovely place to visit, especially in the sunshine. Walk around the harbour and check out the boats, stop for a drink or something to eat with a wonderful view and visit the beach 😌

If you like history, another great area to visit is the Great Flat Lode, lots of places you can start from and loads to see and climb! The remnants of the engine houses have been safely maintained for those with enough energy to explore them

You can make your way up Carn Brea, enjoying an amazing view stretching from St Ives to St Austell and even across to Falmouth. Someone thought they were on top of the world. The history continues here with the enormous Bassett memorial which commemorates Francis Bassett

This has been doing the rounds on Facebook, but while some lifeguarded beaches will be able to offer you a wristband for your children, this is not a scheme directly run by the RNLI or lifeguards

It is always advisable to visit a beach which has a lifeguard, show your children where they can go to get help, for instance the lifeguard hut and if they can remember one teach them an emergency contact number

We are so lucky to have lifeguarded beaches and have met a number lovely lifeguards, luckily never in an emergency situation (touch wood)

Last week we visited the Penrose Estate. Starting from Coronation Park and Boating Lake in Helston, you walk around the Loe, which is the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall.

You can walk to Loe Bar which is a beautiful beach or to Porthleven but we didn't get that far with little Whittams. We just stopped at The Stables cafe for some lunch, which was lovely, and headed back

There are so many lovely areas around Cornwall maintained by the National Trust but would highly recommend Penrose

Despite the weather forecast predicting rain all day, we chanced our luck and headed down to Chapel Porth this morning where we had a lovely walk in the sunshine 😌

It's a short drive down the coast but think it's worth it, so many great paths and views around the north coast

🏴‍☠️ Overall the park is looking great, but have to mention the improvements to the pirate park and mini golf 🏴‍☠️ The kids have been loving it and the sunshine always helps ☀️ 😌

We are on the road out of lockdown 🎉

We visited Whiteacres Holiday Park Parkdean yesterday and must say the site is looking lovely 🥰

Everything is neat and tidy, ready to welcome you for a much needed break and change of scenery 😌

The vegetation around the lakes has been trimmed back, whether you like fishing or not, it's a beautiful, calming place to be. Seeing so many fish sunbathing in the gorgeous sunshine did make me chuckle though 🤭

We are welcoming our first guests this week, but we do still have some availability this year, get in touch to book your stay

As Spring begins to arrive and we start our journey along the roadmap out of lockdown with kids back to school 🎉 We are feeling hopeful that life may be getting closer to normal and are certainly looking forward to visiting White Acres Holiday Park again soon. 🤞 12 April
