Dowr View - our lovely caravan in Sycamore Forest with some of the best views across Jenny's Lake has just received a cancellation. We now have a holiday available, arriving on Saturday 3rd August, for 7 nights.

It has a master bedroom with ensuite shower room and king size bed, a twin room with full sized single beds, its own parking space, secure decking area and is close to the tackle shop and lakes.

Stay safe on Crantock beach and keep away from the base of the dunes.

❌️DANGERS OF SAND DUNES Crantock beach Update❌️

Good afternoon.

Concerns are still being raised by the emergency services who are warning the public that the shifting sand dunes continues to pose a danger to the general public on Crantock beach. These dunes are still at risk of collapse. In fact there's a danger anywhere that has sheer dunes overhanging, even if you are just going for a walk along a beach extra care is needed and you must not go near these, however fascinating they may look.

Over the years the sea changes the shape of our beaches, including our sand dunes, the seas have been creating steep sand cliffs which now hold a potential risk of collapsing, by suddenly giving way and acting simular to that of an avalanche.

The public are now being warned to stay away from these dunes as they are far too dangerous and could give way again at any time and burying anyone who's underneath them. For safety measures staying clear a distance of 164ft away from the base is advisable.

I am feeling very proud of myself. Have just managed to upload a widget onto my website that will not show all our Google Guest Reviews! And then link it to my Google Business Page. While not a complete technophobe I am happy to have conquered another website skill!!

When we started out in 2018 we got all of our bookings via ukcaravans - so we utilised their website to collect reviews. Now that they charge a huge 10% + VAT commission we are working to develop our own website and direct bookings.

If you have stayed with us before and would like to come back again our prices will be significantly cheaper now than those listed on ukcaravans.

Sunset stroll above Tolcarne Beach - could of stood there for hours with that view. Saturday night, 8pm and there were still kids swimming in the sea. I was mighty jealous!

After holidaying in Cornwall since the age of 8 I have walked pas the iconic Maharaj Restaurant in Newquay thousands of times. Well on Saturday night I finally booked a table and all I can say is wow! I spent the entire meal staring out the window at the amazing view. The pictures just don't do it justice.
The food was okay too and not too expensive😅
Go early to guarantee a window seat.

Wow - the sunshine has finally arrived. Bank holiday weekend might have been a wash out across the UK, but down in Newquay we enjoyed blue skies and a giant yellow orb visited and shared her warmth. Am keeping fingers and toes crossed that the sun stays around for a while! Definitely worth thinking about coming down to visit Cornwall. Nothing says Spring like vibrant blue bluebells 🥰🥰

The first of the bluebells are beginning to bloom in the woodland garden. With displays in the garden and in the parkland, Lanhydrock is a great place to have a wander and spot these beautiful blue flowers.

🐍 An ‘Easter miracle’ for Newquay Zoo as another ‘wonder’ snake is discovered. 🐣🌟

🔍 This morning, Monday 1 April, keepers at Newquay Zoo were delighted to reveal another new species of snake to the world. 🌎

👀 After the discovery of a two-headed snake, exactly one year ago to the day, this latest three-headed snake has been dubbed an ‘even greater miracle’ by the scientific community. 🙌🔬

🤯 This is another very exciting discovery from Newquay Zoo. It’s incredible to study the ways it uses its three heads to its advantage, unlike last year’s discovery, which only has two heads. 🤹‍♀️

White Acres was looking beautiful this morning. Such a gorgeous park. This is Trelawney and Nelsons Lakes. These are 2 of the 13 fishing lakes on site.

Today's dog walk was tough! The blue skies, sunshine and salty water were a shock to the system after what has seemed like weeks of biblical rain.

We have a special rate for the first available weeks in April across each of our caravans and lodge. In order to keep our costs down on 3 and 4 night bookings only, bed linen and towels are not included in the price.
