The Shell House, Polperro, Cornwall

The Shell House was originally constructed in the mid 19th century as a single fisherman's cottage. In the mid 20th century the form of the property was decorated with shells by a Samuel Puckey. Mr Puckey was a retired naval man and decorated the property using his lifetime's collection of shells from around the world. He started work in 1937 and it apparently took him five years to complete. We h

ave recently undertaken extensive works to the property and have returned it to one dwelling. The property now has a large brand new kitchen/diner on the ground floor and new through lounge on the first floor with superb views of the harbour.
