windows and skylight to the kitchen area. The lounge area has a multi fuel stove with ample space for a dining table and chair. The kitchen comprises a storage cupboard, fridge/freezer, electric cooker, washing machine and dishwasher. Two generously proportioned double bedrooms to the front both of which have bay windows and lovely sea/hill views, one of the bedrooms also having the benefit of fitted wardrobes. Beautifully presented and fully tiled shower room, again bathed in natural light and consisting of a shower cubicle with electric shower, wash hand basin with vanity below and WC.

Once owned by one of the richest men in the world - John Crichton Stuart, 3rd Marquess of Bute - the programme will celebrate an extraordinary family, their modern legacy and their impact on Scotland and Wales. The programme will be aired on BBC2 Scotland tomorrow night (June 29) at 9pm and will be shown on BBC2 Wales later this summer.

A Golden Eagle spotted on Bute today
Another day,another majestic bird of prey on the Isle of Bute.
I was treated to some pretty spectacular views of this immature Golden Eagle at the north end of Bute this morning.
What an absolute privilege to be watching these birds on the island.
Otter and 21 Red Deer hinds also spotted today.
Heading over to Bute on the Wemmys Bay ferry today . We're going to explore the ferry back from Rhubodach to Colintraive today. It's not far from the flat and then a gorgeous drive down past Loch Lomond back to Glasgow.
