🌿 Porth Ysgo 📍 Llyn Peninsula

If you're visiting the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, this secluded cove is not one to be missed! Hidden just far enough off the beaten track, this National Trust owned beach rarely gets busy. At high tide you're met with just a narrow band of pebbles but as the tide goes out it reveals an expanse of golden sand.

Set back from the beach is Pistyll y Gaseg, which cascades over the steeply sloping grassy cliffs and when the stream is in full flow it can be very impressive!

Please be aware access down to the beach is via around 150 steps. There is also a car park a short walk away but it is quite uneven and can be slippery and muddy.

🪻Welsh Lavender Farm 📍 Nr Builth Wells

If you've booked a stay with us in the area we couldn't recommend a visit to this hidden gem! It won't just be the location that blows you away, there is also a lovely shop selling handcrafted wares from the farm and independent producers, there's also the lovely café serving delicious cakes and beverages! If you're brave enough, take a dip in the pond and take in the views from a different perspective! You're also welcome to bring your own picnic, so set down the blanket, get comfy and relax in the lovely surroundings! Be sure to leave no trace though!

If you're visiting Pembrokeshire be sure to take a trip to Skomer and experience one of Wales' most stunning natural treasures! Less than a mile off the Pembrokeshire coast, it is a haven for wildlife and is home to puffins, Manx shearwaters, dolphins, seals, razorbills and many more types of wildlife.

You can visit Skomer Island all year round and depending on when you go you'll get to see different uncommon and rare animals in their natural habitat.

This beautiful and enchanting waterfall can be found in the Berwyn Mountains. Formed by the Afon Disgynfa falling, in 3 stages, over a 240ft cliff face, below into the Afon Rhaeadr it is definitely one to add to your adventure list when visiting this spectacular area of Wales!

It's also counted as one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and a Site is Special Scientific Interest. The surrounding woodland is beautiful but do take care and pay attention to the signs in place for visitors!

There is a car park just a short walk away along with a cafe.

Part of Oxwich Bay, this stretch of beach takes its name from the steep sand dunes and grassland that back the beach. Designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest it is managed by the National Trust.

Flanked by the low grassy headlands of Dina's and Graig Ddu this pretty sandy west facing cove is quite sheltered and the clear waters are perfect for a dip!

Over the bank holiday weekend, we walked out to an island on one of the dams of the @elan.valley. Usually you can't get to this island when the dam is full however due to recent weather and water going so low, you can actually walk across at the minute.
