We've just had a cancellation for our Normandy trip 26-29 October 2023. So I've got a couple of rooms spare if you're interested.

We've hit a slight snag with the ferries. It appears DFDS switch to a winter timetable at the end of September. The issue is that the morning ferry has been 1000hrs for years, but they've changed it to 1100hrs which, with the crossing time and time difference means it's 4pm when we dock at Dieppe.
So the choice is A. change to the 1100hrs crossing and stay in Dieppe Thursday night as planned, albeit earlier. B. Blat it to the ranch in Carentan a night earlier but it's a good 4 hour ride on the motorway and we'd be getting there at 8pm earliest, probably in the dark.
There is of course ferries from Portsmouth to Caen, but you have to have a cabin and it's working out about £200pp return compared to £60 return Newhaven/Dieppe.
We need to get this sorted in the next few days as I was going to be asking for deposits next week.
Feedback ASAP please guys

The return on Sunday is now 1600hrs (it's always been 1800hrs for I don't know how many years) so shorter day Sunday :(

Looking for numbers for 26-29 October 2023.
We're going to leave Thursday on the 5pm ferry, stay in dieppe and return on Sunday on the 6pm.
Cost per person is going to be approx £230 which will include 2 nights, 2 breakfast and one dinner at the gite. It will also include a 4 course meal at a restaurant during the day on Saturday and nibbles when we get back. It'll also include a good quantity of beer and 3 full days of riding spending most of the day to get there Friday, shorter day Saturday to take in lunch and some beaches on Sunday stopping at Caberg on the way back.
It won't include ferry, Thursday night accommodation or dinner, lunch on Friday or Sunday.

Hey gang. I'm thinking of resurrecting my trips to Normandy. The Mrs and I used to run quite a few of them. We've just been back to the gite for a recce after change of ownership. Who's interested? Usually a long weekend, Thursday afternoon Newhaven to dieppe, ride over Friday, good day out Saturday and ride back to dieppe via the beaches Sunday. There's quite a few rooms and I negotiate a good rate full board Inc beer, wine etc..
