For any walkers looking to stay at the Old Post Office, or if you are looking for some beautiful coastal views, this walk is a 5 mile loop. You can park up at Cowbar (a 5min drive down from the Post Office) and walk through Dalehouse, along to Port Mulgrave, following the Cleveland way, through Staithes (where you can treat yourself to fish and chips at the Cod and Lobster), and back up to Cowbar.

The North York Moors Cycleway passes through our iconic heather landscape, around hidden valleys, meanders through forests and takes in the best of our rugged coastline on a 171 mile (276km) figure of eight loop. The route can be slip up into shorter sections or complete the east or west loop.

It’s been a lovely, fresh day for a walk from Loftus to Saltburn and back, along a section of the Cleveland Way.
Around 10 miles in total, it’s a great walk with beautiful views of the Hummersea cliffs, the stunning Saltburn beach, Skinningrove beach, and more!
The Old Post Office is a fantastic base for this walk, and many other walks to discover the beauty of the North Eastern coastline and North Yorkshire Moors.
