Explore the Island Car Free!

It’s easy to get around the Island without a car, so why not sail over to explore with your bike or hop on the regular Southern Vectis - the island's buses service to discover the Isle of Wight on foot πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ πŸ₯Ύ

Visitors travelling to the Island on foot can make the most of our Super Off Peak Day Return valid for the Hi-Speed Red Jet to Cowes (28 mins) or Vehicle Ferry (1 hour) arriving in East Cowes. The Super Off Peak Day Return works out at Β£12.90pp when two or more people travel together after 11am on either route, perfect for a day trip for a ramble round the countryside or a cycle around the coast. Simply ask for this fare at the terminal. πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

Take your bike with you free of charge on our SouthamptonEast Cowes (Vehicle Ferry) route. Bike racks are also available on our Red Jet service. Folded bikes inside a cycle bag are also permitted on the Red Jet. 🚌

With regular buses connecting the whole Island, it’s a great way to get around. Southern Vectis - the island's buses are offering discounted bus travel to people living on and visiting the Island on (today), and it’s just Β£2 per single journey the rest of the time, or you can buy 24 or 48 hour Rover Tickets and Multi-Day passes for unlimited travel while on the Isle of Wight. So why not drive less and see more!

You’ll find a bus stop just a short walk from our East Cowes ferry terminal at Waitrose, taking you onwards towards Ryde or Newport via Osborne House. From Cowes Terminal, you’ll find the bus stop a 2 minute walk away at M&S Food, taking you onward to Newport Bus Station where you can connect with buses taking you across the Island.
