Celebrating British Flowers Week with a pretty in pink wedding selection brought together with collaboration from Fieldhouse Flowers, Wolds Way Flowers and Flowers by Clowance. Along with a colourful selection for Wykeham Village Market, many thanks Rachel for your help this week. So many more flowers to come this season despite the rain, wind and cold!

Celebrating British Flowers week, so many wonderful varieties to choose from. If you are buying flowers this week ask ‘are they freshly picked and locally grown?’ All these are - a selection of market bunches, wedding buckets and whites for a wedding florist.

I am proud and delighted to say that as a member of Flowers From The Farm I have contributed flowers grown here in North Yorkshire for the gift of flowers for the King’s coronation.

Flowers from the Farm has been working closely with floral designer and sustainable floristry advocate to bring the beauty, joy and variety of local, seasonal flowers to the heart of this historic occasion.

Flowers from the Farm members teamed up to relay buckets of fresh flowers to local hubs, regional hubs and then onto the main hub in South Gloucestershire where they were sorted and prepared for Shane Connolly to arrange at Westminster Abbey.

What a privilege to be part of this.

Celebrating British Flowers week, this shed full of flowers, all picked today have gone to two weddings, a gentleman’s 80th birthday party, a Church flower festival, a holiday let, local shops, a florist and not forgetting my lovely customers at Wykeham Village market tomorrow morning. Freshly picked, locally grown flowers of every type and colour to brighten up your event or home. Spread the word and share the celebration.

There is still space for a few more at Wolds Way Flowers wreath making course on Saturday 27th November, 2pm Ganton Village Hall. Come and make a Christmas wreath out of totally natural materials which will be fully biodegradable - no floral foam, no wire, no artificial adornments - and oh so beautiful.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Floral Workshop at Wolds Way Flowers to celebrate the Flower Farmers Big Weekend. It was lovely to see people enjoying being creative with flowers just as much as we are. Biggest thank you to Julie Macfarlane for hosting the event and doing so much preparation and James Heath for letting us use his shed (and Sam for mending the tables!). Also to Gill at Fieldhouse Flowers and Helen at Rosebud Flowers and Anne at Anne Patterson flowers for making the event run smoothly. We are also enormously grateful for the wonderful sum of money raised for women’s cancer charities.
