Just a reminder of our Quiz on Saturday Night. It’s a no frills event with no bar or food provided but please feel free to bring your own snacks and refreshments!! 🍷 🍺 🍸

There will be a raffle on the night so we would really appreciate anything you could donate, either bring along on the night or drop at the shop before Saturday 🎟️ . Raffle tickets available now in the shop £1/strip. The raffle this month will be in aid of Gigha Primary School whom had approached the hall to help them run sports lessons in the hall during the winter, so please come and get your tickets!!!

We will also be running a new cash prize game alongside the raffle, TEALES 50/50. Tickets for the 50/50 will be £1 each and the draw will take place on the night with the winner receiving a cash prize worth half the pot with the rest going towards Hall funds!!!

Finally, it’s the Village Hall AGM tomorrow night, a great opportunity to come and hear about the committees plans for the hall going forward, give us ideas for other activities you would like to see us running, learn about the halls finances and contribute to that discussion. Most importantly the hall committee are always on the lookout for a few extra members to help us carry out the work we do.

MAJOR SOLAR STORM EXPECTED!

Heads up, folks! It’s looking likely there will be a fantastic opportunity to see the Northern Lights over the coming nights from everywhere in the UK, Northern Europe and North America.

Earlier today (09/10/24) the Sun emitted a vast CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) towards Earth which is expected to trigger a massive geomagnetic storm resulting in elevated levels of Aurora Borealis, aka the Northern Lights.

This could result in similar views to that of our photo which was taken on 10th May 2024; this is an event not to be missed!

Timings are yet to be confirmed, but set yourselves ready for when darkness falls on Thursday and Friday nights (10/10/24 and 11/10/24). See our website for suggested stargazing locations and follow our page for updates.

Exciting times! Clear skies!
