👷 The A528 Ellesmere Road, Shrewsbury is set to be surface dressed between 13 June and 5 July.

The work is due to take place as follows:

🚧 13 to 14 June – 9:30am to 4pm. Road closure for stud removal and prep work
🚧 17 to 19 June – 9:30am to 4pm. Road closure for surface dressing
🚧 2 to 5 July – 8pm to 6am. Road closure for white lining

⬆️ While the road is closed a signed diversion will be in place, and access will be provided to residential properties and businesses within the work area.

Some lovely feedback from our New Year Guests.

This home had everything you could need.clean.tidy and comfortable.lovely enclosed garden for the dogs.and parking. Lovely welcome goodie tray. Would definitely stay again .best we have stayed in .

⚠️ FLOODING ALERT ⚠️

You may have noticed that we're having rather a wet start to 2024 ☔️ . While Shrewsbury town centre remains open for business, a new flood warning has been issued today for the River Severn at Shrewsbury Showground & Quarry.

📈 The river level at the Welsh Bridge is currently 3.54m and expected to peak at 4.74m on Thursday.

🚙 Frankwell Main and Riverside car parks have been closed for your safety. St Julian's is expected to close shortly as river levels approach 3.6m.

🚶 Many of the footpaths along the river are now or will soon be flooded. If you must walk near the river, please stay safe and stay out of floodwater.

🚌 If you're visiting Shrewsbury tomorrow, use of Park and Ride services is recommended avoid congestion in town due to the car park closures.

What a lovely review from our recent guests 🥰

We stayed in the Dog friendly The Lymes from 1 - 8 September 2023. We have holidayed in quite a few dog friendly cottages before, some good others not so. The Lymes exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, exceptionally equipped with everything you could possibly need. It really was a home from home, comfy furniture, comfy beds, dishwasher, washer, tumble dryer. The welcome pack on arrival made you feel as though a friend had popped in and left you so much more than the essentials. The garden was a total sun trap and totally enclosed, no worry about our dog escaping. The garden furniture beckoned you to sit back, chill and enjoy whatever tipple takes your fancy. It’s situated in a quiet cul de sac, within easy walking distance into town. We will definitely be returning next year.
