Great news, Kidney Island evening trips are back on! with guide Andy Pollard
Rockhopper Penguins, Sea lions, endemic birds and the crème de la crème, the dusk return of Sooty Shearwaters (see video).
Individual bookings can be made at Β£65 per person. Private/Group trips can also be organised. Trips normally depart from the jetty Centre between 5-6pm and last 4 hours.
Unfortunately payment is now required prior to the trip. I tried to avoid this but have been let down too often.

Kidney Island
It is getting close to that time again. Evening trips,to view an estimated 140,000 pairs of Sooty Shearwaters,as they return at dusk, is one of natures spectacles.
Also Rockhopper Penguins, Sea Lions, Cobbs Wren, Tussac Birds and periodic whale sightings.
I take individual bookings up to a maximum group size of 11. Children also welcome (in fact encouraged). Trips from Stanley.

I can also book a trip if you have family visiting or if you are here for a short time only. With the return of tourism, I have to work this trip around other commitments.

Last night we had 2 Humpback Whales in close, huge numbers of Sooty Shearwaters, Rockhopper Penguins and chicks, sea lions and a few pups.

Another great trip this evening to Kidney Island. In addition to the usual, great to see 5-6 sei whales and this humpback whale very close to the cliffs :-)

Wednesday trip saw the first Rockhopper Penguin chicks of the season, about 75 sea lions, a humpback whale tight to the cliffs and 4 to 5 Sei Whales.
