Get hands-on with Science at Swanage Railway with CHaOS!

Cambridge Hands-on Science (CHaOS) is a team of undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Cambridge who love sharing what they know about the Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine or Computer Science. Their events feature a number of exciting hands-on demonstrations, designed to get you thinking about science as you explore the coolest things about our world, and each led by a friendly demonstrator.

Join us for a FREE day of family-friendly fun at Swanage Station on Thursday 10th August, from 11am - 4pm.

You can still book tickets in advance for some festive fun on our Christmas themed trains including our magical Steam and Lights trains!

Running throughout December, with two departures to choose from on each day of running at either 17.15 or 19.15 for a one hour return trip, this experience offers a wonderful chance to build your Christmas spirit with family and friends whilst you pass through the Isle of Purbeck in the comfort of a steam heated carriage, spotting the festive themed decorations along the way!

We are pleased to announce that there will be a new online booking system for you to book a beach hut for next season!
(1st April 2023 - 29th March 2024)

You will be able to book your beach hut as follows:
• Tuesday 22nd November from 10.00am: For continuous bookings of 10 weeks or more
• Wednesday 23rd November from 10.00am: For continuous bookings of 4 weeks or more
• Thursday 24th November from 10.00am: For bookings of 1 week or more (please note that the Swanage Information Centre will be closed on this day)

(Please note - we are hoping that the Spa and Spa Retreat beach huts will be open for the summer of 2023, but a decision will be made in February/March 2023, after the extent of any possible winter storm damage can be assessed)
