We have sailed 650km along the Danube river this week through Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, along the Czech border and into Germany! River cruising is such an immersive, relaxing, stylish way to see so much in a short amount of time.
AMA waterways (who I sailed with) offer sailings all over Europe including Christmas markets! 🎅
But they also sail the Nile, the Mekong through Vietnam and Cambodia, the Magdalena river in Colombia to name just a few!

Our last day with spent in Passau and Vilshofen, both beautiful historic towns in Bavaria, Germany.
We even had an Oktoberfest celebration to round off an incredible week.
I’ve visited a lot of places this week which I never normally think to try.. but that’s the beauty of cruising.. especially river cruising.
You feel no movement and ,unlike sea days on an ocean cruise, the scenery is always there even when on the move.
