So we have come back to our caravan at Butlins having let it out for the 6 weeks holidays.
My question is why cant people respect other peoples property! We make our caravans as homely as possible providing little extras you dont get with Butlins accomidation and also may I add much cleaner!
It is so disappiinting when you find out someone has damaged the shower cubicle ripping the actual shower rail off the wall. £3k damage!
The rubbish bin has had its lid broken. The washing machine which was requested by guests is now flooding the kitchen. Looks to have been overloaded so the pipe at back has come off.
The dining table is delaminating, the cooker has a broken igniter on one of the hob rings.
Thats just in 68 I havent been in 65 as yet.
Even the airfryer which was also a customer request has not been cleaned. Do people treat their own home in this way.
We were hoping for a bit of a break but now too many things to sort out.
I will now have a blacklist of people who wont be allowed back, not only have they done damage but caused the following guests to think we dont look after our vans with the faults they found. I can assure you all we do but to get this amount of damage in just 6 weeks is heartbreaking!!

Feeling proud today.
For the 4th year in a row all 4 properties at Tattershall Lakes have been awarded Traveller Review Awards for 2023.
These take into account all reviews for each property over the last 4 years so to be rewarded again is a great achievement.

Due to the dry hot weather both Butlins and Away Resorts have banned the use of disposable BBQs. Please note we do not provide any BBQ facilities at any of our properties as we have had considerable damage done to one of decks due to someone putting a disposable bbq on a glass coffee table which then shattered due to the heat and hot coals virtually melted the decking boards.
If anyone is found to be using a charcoal BBQ at any of the properties they will be asked to leave and no refund given.
Butlins have had several fires caused by disposables and have advised only gas or electric ones can be used on the park.
This now also applies to Away Resorts.
I know this will disappoint some of you but safety has to come first. There have been several wild fires which have had the route cause of disposable BBQs.
None of the shops on site will have them for sale and Marks and Spencer have also made the decision to stop the sale of them as well.
Please honour this order failure to do so may result on you being asked to leave.

Just come back from a stay at 32 Misty Bay and could not recommend it enough, the lodge was very clean and so spacious, a lot of outdoor space on the veranda and lovely views over the lake from the roof terrace, would definitely book again!

Please note that when booking a break at Tattershall you are paying for the accomodation and the private hot tub. If you wish to use Away Resort facilities you are required to purchase guest passes. Whilst we facilitate the purchase of these passes for you we do not have any control over the activities. These are provided and controlled by Away Resorts who may at any time close a facility. Also please note we charge guests the actual cost of the passes and do not add any charges to the cost. The passes are charged per unit not per person. Here at rkd we not only have caravans and lodges at Tattershall but we also have several caravans at Butlins Skegness.
Currently we have 3 4 bedroom caravans which can accomodate up to 10 guests. All have a fully equipped galley kitchen with separate under counter fridge and freezers microwave and full size cooker with 4 gas rings an oven and grill. There is a main bathroom with walk in shower and a 2nd toilet.
All bedrooms have a tv/dvd and in the twin bedrooms in Parkside 65 there are PS2s and games to keep the younger generation amused.
Parkside 65 68 have 42" smart 4k hd/tvs with unlimited private wifi so you can catch up on your favourite programmes that you may miss whilst having a good time on the main resort.
We include a bedding pack for all bookings so you have less to carry and more room in your luggage for your clothes and shoes.
Outside there are verandahs with seating and dining tables so on a nice day you can sit and eat outdoors. All are gated so safe fir children. Our season starts 1st March. We let out the vans throughout the season until end of November including Adult weekends. All guests must be over 18 and the lead guest at least 21 years of age. Weekends include 60s 70s 80s 90s 00s soul weekends ministry of sound, disco inferno and much more.
We also have a superior 3 bedroom caravan on the popular area of the Dunes. This has an ensuite toilet a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher.
This can sleep up to 8 guests.

Here are the details for another of out award winning properties
42 Kingfisher Court is a 3 bedroom luxury caravan. It has an ensuite toilet and a large master bedroom which you can fit a travel cot in( we provide f.o.c)
There is a family bathroom with a walk in shower. The 2 twin bedrooms have plenty of storage space.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer a built in microwave a cooker with 4 gas rings and an oven .
There is wrap around seating with a dining table and stools. There is a smart 4k hd/tv with unlimited wifi so you can tune into netflicks etc.
Outside is a wrap aroubd verandah with a professionally maintained hot tub witj privacy screening.
This caravan is ideally situated for families as it overlooks a play area so adults can sit either in the hot tub or on the verandah and can keep an eye on the children thereby giving them some freedom. We take bookings of 2 ir 3 night weekends depending in the season(peak weeks we only do 3 night weekends) 4 night midweek breaks or a 7 day break. Guest passes to access away resort facilities do carry an extra charge and must be purchased via RKD ( away resort rules not ours).

We are highly delighted to announce that for the 3rd year running our 5 properties at Tattershall Lakes Country Park have each been awarded " guest reviewer awards" for 2021.
Many of our guests return year on year. We are hoping that this pandemic will be over in the not too distant future. Following the announcement today that Lincolnshire is staying in tier 3 we have taken the decision to keep all our properties closed over the festive season. Whilst we realise some of guests are disappointed but having worked out the cost involved of reopening for just 4 nights it is not financially viable. We apologise to our guests whos' break has now been cancelled. We wish all our followers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hi everyone. I hope you all coping with the current heatwave.
If you are taking your dog with you can I please ask you do not leave it alone in the caravan or lodge. The properties are very similar to your car and were reaching temoeratures above 40 degrees. This heat was also affecting our cleaners so much so that by the afternoon they were beginning to suffer from heat exhaustion. I gave them permission to not make the beds partly to avoid contamination from their perspiration and to protect their well being. If you were one of our guests affected by this decision I do apoligise but I had to put their health and safety and yours first. Wearing masks in this heat I am sure you have all been affected by this whilst shopping etc and can understand the impact this was having on the cleaners working under such circumstances so I thank you for your support. Please continue to help us maintain a covid 19 free environment by removing all bedding and placing in the blue ikea bag provided and taking all your rubbish to the waste disposal area.
