We are the only Gunmaker ever to hold the Royal Warrant to the Queen Mother
(we were her Gunsmiths from 1965 - 2002). We are the oldest family owned Gunmaker in Scotland & the 4th oldest in the UK. Our new hours are indeed 7pm-10pm, Monday to Friday & Saturdays strictly by appointment!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
We will no longer be listing Guns on this page, the last time we tried I got a 24 hour ban from Facebook so obviously they are tightening up in this area.
We have opened an account with Guntrader, the World biggest online gun listing site & will eventually upload all our stock onto it.
So far we have around 50 guns listed with more to follow.
We will continue to post non-gun related images on this page but to keep up to date with what we have for sale, including optics & accessories, please go to Guntrader from now on.

We have just received a large delivery of S&B and Hornaday Rifle Ammo, from .22 Hornet to .270w.

S&B are one of the Worlds oldest ammo makers, being established in what is now The Czech Republic in 1825, there quality is similar that to Re*****on & Wi******er.

Hornaday are one of the Worlds oldest makers of reloading bullets & presses and began producing complete rounds around 1990.
We consider there products to be the finest quality factory produced rifle ammo that is being made in the World today.
This does not make Hornaday ammo expensive, the standard .243w round is only £31.70/20, less than the equivalent round from S&B, Norma & RWS etc!

A best quality James Macnaughton of Edinburgh Round Action that we restored a few years ago.

This gun was one of a pair & had a skeletonised top lever & 30" Damascus barrels.
It was a real challenge as it was in awful condition
We restocked it, replaced the forend wood & had to replace most screws & springs.

A best quality JDDougall bar action side lever hammer gun that we have just completed a full restoration on
We submitted it to nitro proof with 70mm chambers, re engraved the rib, screw heads, joint pin opening lever etc
The original stock and forend have been rechequred and have a hand rubbed oil finish.
The gun was built between 1875-1887 and the rib shows the 23 Gordon street and London addresses

Westley Richards best quality ''Model A'' sl/e

Original 28" barrels, 2 1/2" chambers, 1/4 + 3/4 chokes, mint bores, reproofed in 1993.

Original highly figured French walnut stock, LOP 15 1/4" over a short walnut extension.

Fully engraved in best bold scrollwork, the rib engraved with the Bond Street address & reference to their Royal Warrant.

Circa. 1909-10, we fully restored the gun in the 2010's to a high standard & it has fired around ten cartridges since.

A good example of a very best quality Birmingham Sidelock.

Original 30” steel barrrels with Greener crossbolt, 2 1/2” chambers 1/4 & 3/4 chokes, original proof, mint bores with very good original blueing, English rib.
Fully engraved In crisp scroll, retaining lots of original colour hardening, pushrod forend.
original well figured French walnut stock and forend, plain silver oval, 14.5” pull, well cast off, original horn heelplate and chequring.

This gun is incredibly original, a real sleeper
All we have done to it is a strip and check over and to repolish the stock and forend
All springs are original and all the internal work retains its original factory polish
