South East Cornwall (aka the forgotten corner of Cornwall) is a wonderful holiday location with many delightful destinations nearby. Just a couple of miles away are the beaches of Downderry, Seaton, Whitsand Bay, Kingsand and Cawsand while the inspiring gardens, parkland walks and forest trails await at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. The spectacular South West Coast Path will delight even the less enthusiastic of ramblers, with stunning sea vistas to marvel around every headland. Why not get down with the locals, and try your hand at surfing - if you've never done it before, you can book at lesson at the Adventure Bay Surf School.
The charming twin coastal villages of Cawsand and Kingsand with their narrow streets, jumbled cottages, pubs and shops are delightful. Head to the traditional seaside town of Looe to join a fishing trip, have fun at the seaside or simply indulge in some scrummy fish and chips. From Looe, take the coastal path to picture perfect Polperro; an unspoilt fishing village that has inspired artists for centuries. A little further along the coast, the stylish sailing town of Fowey is well worth a visit.
