Gwynant can sleep up to 6 visitors in total, being comprised of 3 bedrooms. Recently renovated to a high standard it features a convenient family bathroom and well-equipped kitchen-dining room. The sun lounge provides additional space for relaxing. The comfortable lounge with Smart TV features a large window which affords beautiful views over Cors Caron. A well-lit hallway opens out through French doors onto the spacious patio, generous lawned front garden and stunning views of the surrounding local countryside. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome. Within easy walking distance of the Ystwyth Trail.

🌞SUMMER AVAILABILITY 🌞

The weather has been so beautiful here at Gwynant recently! The views from the garden have been just amazing with blue skies, verdant fields and the hedges filled with hawthorn blossom. Relaxing on the patio, you can hear the gentle sound of sheep and cattle in the distance and beautiful birdsong filling the air. Cors Caron nearby is bursting with wildlife and there are so many fabulous walks to explore or maybe venture a little further to the mountains or the coast.

The summer is filling up quickly. We have one full week left in June (16th-23rd June 2023), a little more availability in July but also only one week left in August (18-25th August 2023) so please get in touch as soon as possible if you would like to enjoy a summer break here at Gwynant.

The Easter holidays are drawing to a close but we have much more to look forward to in the months ahead! The days are now so much longer and the weather is improving ☀️. The view from the garden is stunning looking out over beautiful countryside and across Cors Caron National Nature Reserve and with inspirational views like this, why not bring your artists brushes and pencils and spend an hour or two capturing the beautiful scenery and changing light. Or with Gwynant so perfectly located to visit other wonderful places in mid-Wales, you might decide to throw your sketchbook, pencils and paints in your backpack and set off on an adventure to capture views of the dramatic Cambrian Mountains, beautiful valleys and woodlands, fabulous gardens and castles or wonderful seascapes.

World Book Day
Why not book 📖 yourself a break at Gwynant and find a quiet place to relax and immerse yourself in another world. There are plenty of lovely spots to relax with your chosen book. Maybe take a coffee to the well-lit sun-lounge, curl up on the sofa or take a spot by the french window with a soft throw, choose a place in the peaceful garden or just relax in bed with your favourite story.
You don’t have to read at home of course, a good story can transport you but you can travel with your book too! Take a walk in the mountains, sit by a fire in a cosy pub, stroll along the beach and find a bench together.
We have so many brilliant book shops in Aberystwyth to choose from including fabulous independents. Some stores have signed editions and you’ll often see interesting events like chances to meet the author or creative writing events. Aberystwyth also has an excellent town library and of course, the wonderful National Library of Wales is definitely worth a visit with a wealth of precious book collections and interesting exhibitions.
Whether you bring your favourite with you or choose a new story to inspire you whilst here, take a break and give yourself time to spend with your favourite book.

The generous front garden with patio area and picnic bench enjoys beautiful view over Cors Caron. Gwynant also welcomes up to 2 well behaved dogs with no extra charge so feel free to include them in your holiday too!
There are beautiful walks nearby and the Ystwyth Trail can be accessed just across the way from us with picnic benches and bird hides along the way. This is just one of the many walks nearby and being part of the Cambrian Mountains - Area Of Astounding Natural Beauty we are never short of amazing scenery.
The village of Pontrhydfendigaid is nearby with its well-stocked local shop and children's playground.
There are many excellent local pubs and restaurants nearby if you're looking for a delicious evening meal or Sunday lunch.
You are also not far from Aberystwyth for a walk along the promenade and an ice-cream or from the cinemas, leisure centre and many other facilities there or maybe visit the picturesque Aberaeron or pretty New Quay. There's so much to enjoy on the beautiful Welsh coastline.

Today is the beginning of Wales Dark Skies Week (17-26 February 2023) which celebrates the beauty and significance of our breath-taking night skies free from man-made light pollution. At Llety Gwyliau Gwynant Holiday Cottage you are ideally located to enjoy the beauty of the Welsh night sky. You can visit one of the amazing Dark Skies Discovery Sites along the Cambrian Mountains Astro Trail - our closest being nearby at Coed y Bont, Pontrhydfendigaid. The webpage https://www.thecambrianmountains.co.uk/discover-dark-skies provides a wealth of information along with a free to download Dark Sky Guide which includes interesting stargazing tips.
Alternatively, settle in at Llety Gwyliau Gwynant Holiday Cottage, take a glass of wine or a hot chocolate out to the patio table or maybe lay a picnic blanket on the lawn and gaze up in awe at the vast splendour of the starry skies above. Fingers crossed for clear skies!

Such a gorgeous evening in Ystrad Meurig. The light was subtle and beautiful and the sunset breathtaking. The twilight was also filled with birdsong. It's such a privilege to spend time here.
