The Cottage has been designed to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. There is free on street parking opposite the property entrance, or you can park next to the beach which is a stone's throw from the property. It has been created in mind to encourage you to take your time and provide a quiet place to relax after you have enjoyed the beach, walks, or overindulgence in
the local pubs and independent restaurants. Alternatively, the kitchen is equipped with all the items you need to create your favourite dishes. This home is suitable for the single traveller, couples or 3/4 people maximum. There are 2 bedrooms, one double and one single complete with orthopaedic mattresses. The 3rd bed is a sofa bed and can be booked for an additional £35 fee per stay/week. Towels, toiletries and linen are all provided and ready for your arrival so if you want to book last minute - just pack a bag and make your way! There is also a washer/dryer, fridge and freezer, cooker and microwave. You can see the sea from the second bedroom and perhaps enjoy a glass or mug of your favourite beverage or tuck into some of the goodies you will find on arrival. I hope you love the property, Walmer and Deal as much as I do. If there is anything you need including any local information or advice before or during your stay please do not hesitate to ask. If there is anything you need to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible please do not hesitate to contact me before or during your holiday and I will do everything I can to accommodate your requests. I live within a few minutes of the cottage so if you need any help or require any local knowledge that you need in addition to the information pack provided you can contact me anytime. The benefit of staying in Walmer is that you will not incur any additional parking costs. You should be able to park on street, opposite the cottage or on The Beach itself which is also free at all times. The cottage is 15-20 minutes walk from either Walmer or Deal train station or a very short taxi ride away. The bus stops are also no more than a 3 minute walk, just get off at The Strand, Walmer. If you have not visited Walmer or Deal before then you will not be disappointed. Perfectly flat sea walks and cycle path, a stroll on the pier or sea fishing on the beach or pier or swimming or walk all the way to Sandwich Bay. If you like a little climb you can head towards Kingsdown and take in the fantastic sea views from the cliff tops! You could head for Dover passing St Margarets Bay on the way. Or Cycle! Or just drive! Which ever direction you take, there are plenty of pubs and cafes to take a well earned break. You will not go hungry or thirsty! The cottage was named after the son of Queen Victoria, the Duke of Brunswick. Queen Victoria owned it and her staff lived in it when she visited Walmer Castle.* *Source From the Kent Mercury 16 September,1999
