The Grand Finale Catwalk Show takes place this Saturday 21 October at the University of Wi******er, King Alfred Centre, from 7pm-10pm (doors 6.30pm, show 7pm to 9pm with an interval, bar closes 9.30pm).

Celebrating all the women in our lives on International Women’s Day; partners, daughters, sisters, friends, mothers and business owners. We learn so much from one another and support each another too. We’re have many strengths to bring to the table, Designer’s House Wi******er is completely female designed, cleaned and managed and I think it’s all the more lovely for it. The majority of guests placing the bookings are women too!

This is my home in Wi******er. I lived here for some 15 years and the kitchen I bought the property with and lived with was always rather underwhelming. Finally the time was right and it was revamped with the most wonderful oak cabinetry by Modern English Cabinetry set off by the most amazing tiles, on the floor, and the walls . I love the mix of monochrome patterns. Stripes always look striking and are easy to team with another pattern. The pattern on the floor tiles is a mid century style pattern which although printed looks to be hand painted, such is the quality of the technology used. The amazing tiles help keep the cabinets light as you see through the wall cupboards to the striped wall behind or under the cupboards as your eye reads the patterned floor all making the room feel wider. The Fired Earth tiles also have a boarder option which I used to create a homely rug effect. If you can’t afford to do away with wall cupboards but want to move away from that fitted kitchen look these backless ones are do light and elegant.

Who doesn't love a bit of Horrid History?
