It was good to see the LET & DP World Tour following the Greencard example of running mixed team events last week!

With plenty of keen golfers in the England football squad for the 2024 Euros they should be pretty happy with their new base for the next few weeks!

Great 18 by Shane Lowry in Rnd 3 of the PGA yesterday possibly 18 players still in with a shout today.

With a European bias it would be great to see Hovland, Lowry, Rose & MacIntyre in the back 9 mix.

If Rory can blast out one of his final round specials he could put some pressure on from the clubhouse, but suspect he's a couple of shots too far back.

Personally, one of the players inside 2 shots of lead will probably be lifting the trophy this evening - Schauffle, Morikawa, Theegla, Viktor, Bryson, & Lowry.

Don't really want to comment too much on the non-golf related happenings yesterday coming out of the PGA championship - apart from to congratulate Meredith & Scott Scheffler on the arrival of their first child.

Sad to hear that Peter Oosterhuis has passed away. A ten time winner on the European Tour & once on the PGA Tour.

Although he never won a major he had 8 top 10 finishes & twice came 2nd in the Open. In 1973 he went into the final round of the 1973 Masters with a 3 shot lead eventually finishing tied 3rd.

He won the European Order of Merit four years in a row & played in 6 Ryder Cups famously partnering a young Sir Nick Faldo in 1977, 79 & 81 tournaments.

They had an unbeaten record winning 6 for 6 matches they played together including a huge 4&3 win over Nicklaus & Watson in 1981.

After his competitive golf years he went into broadcasting with Sky the BBC & in the US with the Golf Channel & CBS Sports.

He retired in 2015 after announcing he had early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

An amazing golfing life.

⛳️Golfers are famous for the superstitions - think Tiger in Red on the final day 🐯 or Paula Creamer in Pink.

Even the GOATJack Nicklaus won't tee off unless he has three coins in his pocket which he hopes will be the most common number he'll be writing on his card! (Obviously worked for him so got to be worth a try!)

I have a lucky tee peg I keep in my pocket or bag at all times - not quite so effective as Jack's!

2025 NEW EVENT.

We're delighted to announce the launch of our new event for 2025 in South Africa.

Following the success of our recent 2024 event this will again be a triple venue golf holiday.

For 2025 we will be heading along the world famous Garden Route. 🍷⛰️ 🌻🌊🐳

We'll tee-off in George at the Greencard favourite Fancourt Resort before heading West to Cape Town via the stunning Arabella Golf Resort in Hermanus.

The beautiful scenery, warm climate, first-class 5 star hotels & fantastic golf courses will all be a welcome break after another winter in the UK. 🥶🤧

At this time of year it will also give us all a chance to get in some early season form on courses without temporary greens or astro tee boxes!!😉
