Our Handover Specialist, Charlie, provided the team with in-depth training on the vessel’s features and best practices to serve their patrol and missions in Bedford’s narrow waterways.

Every year, Ribcraft proudly supplies the Southampton Boat Show with a fleet of 4.8m PRO RIBs. The boats deliver Patrol and Safety services throughout the show.

Ribcraft 4.8m PRO RIBs are rugged boats, built on our renowned Deep-V Hull™. They have a legendary history that includes the successful 2001 Round Britain Challenge where three 4.8m RIBs circumnavigated the British Isles in just 10 days!

The 2024 Ribcraft SIBS Patrol RIBs feature the same proven hull, some upgraded new features and are being made with Ice White hulls and Neptune Grey heavy-duty tubes.

After the show, these boats will return to base for a full service, and will be supplied in 'as-new' condition.

Propeller Power! A well-maintained propeller is crucial for ensuring your RHIB operates at peak performance.

Quick Safety Check:
• Engine OFF - Ensure the engine is off and the kill switch is engaged.

• Neutral Gear - Confirm the drive is in neutral to prevent unexpected movement.

• Spin It - Manually rotate the propeller. It should spin smoothly and evenly, with no wobble in the shaft.

• Clear the Way - Clear any fishing line, debris, or marine growth that may have accumulated around the propeller and shaft.

• Inspect the Blades - Thoroughly examine each blade for nicks, cracks, bends, or any signs of damage. Minor imperfections may be addressed with filing, but significant damage requires professional repair.

We are thrilled to announce the successful handover of boat number 20 to JP Watersports Ltd. This sleek, all black 4.8 PRO with powerful Mercury 60hp will join the fleet and support operations at Port Edgar Watersports CIC and Edinburgh Marine Academy.

Within the fleet, they now have almost every Ribcraft model up to 7.8m, which are used for safety, training, trips and commercial charter. JP Watersports Ltd offers an excellent opportunity to view the Ribcraft range of boats in . These boats work daily, so any viewing needs to be booked in advance.

Not only are we showcasing our professional-grade RHIBs at Seawork 2024, but our Ribcraft Team will also be there to connect in person.

• Global Chief Operations Officer Sandeep Banerjee is responsible for our manufacturing operations in the UK, India and Middle East. Sandeep is currently leading projects to deliver new technologies including hybrid power, fully autonomous and amphibious RHIBs for defence and commercial applications.

• Jack Clempson, UK Director of Operations, oversees our Yeovil factory, currently buzzing with a significant number of board 4.8m to 14m under construction for customers in the UK, Europe, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

• Customer handover and delivery legend Charlie Chan brings over 20 years of experience in RHIBs. Charlie knows more about how our boats perform than anyone else on the planet.

• Sarah Copeland heads our UK and Europe Sales and is your point person for your new project requirements.

• Ellen Harradine has recently joined Ribcraft to support our design and production engineering needs.

We are thrilled to announce the handover of a new Ribcraft 4.8 PRO to Banna Rescue in Tralee Bay, Ireland.

The boat’s bespoke open layout is optimised for search and rescue missions, featuring a custom-built bow pod that streamlines functionality and maximises deck space.

The powerful Yamaha F60 engine propels the RHIB to an impressive 35 knots, a significant upgrade from their previous 25-knot vessel. This enhanced speed translates to faster response times, ensuring timely assistance in critical situations.

As a leading manufacturer of Rigid Inflatable Boats, we value expertise, attention to detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship. The role would suit a motor mechanic who is electrically minded. Marine background preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities
- Perform Basic wiring, cable routing, and general electrical work on Marine Vessels.
- Assemble, fit and Install mechanical and electrical components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
