📍🎨Niko Pirosmani, also known as Niko Pirosmanashvili, was a Georgian artist who lived in the late 19th and early 20th century. He is one of the most famous figures in the history of Georgian art and is recognized as one of the most important representatives of naive art.

📍Niko Pirosmani was born into a peasant family in the small village of Miraba in present-day Georgia. He spent most of his life in Gori and Tbilisi, where he worked as a simple carpenter and waiter. However, his real passion was art and he started painting to express his feelings and emotions.

📍Interestingly, Pirosmani is self-taught and never received professional art training. His style can be described as simple and direct, yet full of expressiveness and strong emotions. He used bright colors and simple shapes to convey everyday subjects and landscapes such as farms, animals, dances or scenery.

📍One of Pirosmani's most famous works is the painting The Family of Tigers, which depicts three tigers in a forest. This work epitomizes his unique style and ability to convey the power and beauty of the animal world.

📍Unfortunately, Pirosmani was not recognized and commercially successful during his lifetime. However, after his death, his work was restored and recognized as one of the important achievements in art. Today, Pirosmani is recognized as one of Georgia's most important artists and his works are exhibited in many museums around the world.

📍It's cool that you're interested in the culture and cuisine of different countries. Churchkhela is a rather unique and delicious dish from Georgia. It is a kind of sweet dessert that is often referred to as "Georgian Snickers". 🇬🇪

📍Churchkhela is made from nuts, usually walnuts or pistachios, which are strung on threads and dipped in a thick syrup of sugar, grape juice (sometimes pomegranate juice) and flour. The syrup slowly solidifies, forming a layer around the nuts that gives the churchel its characteristic appearance. This gives it the perfect balance between the sweetness and texture of the nuts.

📍The process of making churchkhela is quite interesting and involving. First, the nuts are dried so that the syrup holds on them better. Then they are strung on long threads and dipped into a pot with syrup. The nuts are carefully removed and hung to dry. When the syrup hardens, the churchkhela is ready!

📍I realize this may sound complicated, but it's actually quite an interesting process and the result is worth the effort. 1. Prepare the nuts, dry them. 2. Thread the nuts onto the threads, creating chains. 3. Mix sugar and grape (or pomegranate) juice in a saucepan and bring to a boil until sugar is completely dissolved. 4. Gradually add the flour and stir to make a thick syrup. 5. Dip the nuts into the syrup, making sure they are evenly coated. 6. Hang the nut chains to dry. 7. When the syrup has completely solidified, your churchkhela is ready to eat!

📍1. Ajara khachapuri (Acharuli Khachapuri):

📍2- Imereti Khachapuri (Imeruli Khachapuri):
Imereti khachapuri is a simpler version, as it contains only the basic ingredients: dough and Imereti cheese. This khachapuri has a flatter shape, similar to a pizza. It has a cheese filling inside. It has a more salty flavor than Adjara khachapuri.

📍3. Megruli Khachapuri:
Meghrelian khachapuri has a distinctive shape - round. It also uses Megrelian cheese, which has a deep and rich flavor. This type of khachapuri is quite soft and juicy.

📍4. Lazuri Khachapuri:
Lazuri khachapuri is the most exotic type. It uses ingredients like Suluguni cheese, Lagiji cheese and pistachios. It has a sweet and nutty flavor, which makes it unique among other types of khachapuri.

👉 Vardzia was built in the 12th century, AD. The history of its name is also very interesting - according to legend, the monastery complex got its name from Queen Tamar. The story says that while she was still quite small, she played with her uncle in Vardzia and she got lost. A worried relative began to call the child, to which he heard back “Ak var, Dzia”, which in Georgian means “I am here, uncle”.
