Georgia has started its motion toward building a free and democratic state very recently. Therefore, the main goals of our organization are taking active participation into the country’s social and cultural processes and co-operating with private and governmental sectors, as well as with international organizations, which will provide assistance promoting national cultural values abroad and establishing certain place among world cultures. “Future is yours”
In the frame of the project “future is yours” had been implemented many arrangements, which were focused on psychosocial rehabilitation of the socially vulnerable and IDP children and their valuable integration into society.
• 31/03/2009 – 100 IDP children attended the animated films at the Rustaveli cinema. Co-organizer: Council of Europe
• 01/04/2009 – 600 socially vulnerable youngsters attended the football match between the combined team of Georgia and Montenegro at Boris Paitchadze national stadium; Co-organizer: Georgian Football Federation;
• 02/04/2009-04/04/2009 – 200 IDP children attended the international festival of animated films in the city of Rustavi. Co-organizer: the Fund of Animation Development;
• 15/04/2009 – 200 IDP children attended European Judo Championship at the Palace of Sport. Co-organizer: Federation of Georgian Sports;
• 01/04/2009 – 400 children (200 IDPs, 100 orphan and 100 disabled children) were attended the concert at Mtatsminda National Park and were provided with food and the attraction tickets. Co-organizer: Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia;
• 15/06/2009 – Sport arrangement “funny Starts” – 320 IDP children from Abkhazia and Ossetia took part in the above-mentioned activity. Co-organizers: Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Channel “Rustavi 2”, Kaspi Ice-cream, “MacDonald’s” and the Department of Sport;
• 30/06/2009 – excursion to Sighnagi was arranged for the members of finalist groups of “funny Starts” co-organizer: Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia;
• 21-25/07/2009 – 500 IDP children and 100 disabled youngsters attended the folk festival “Art-Gene”. Exhibition and selling of the works of disabled children was also arranged. Co-organizers: Tbilisi City Hall, Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, festival “Art-Gene”, “Open society-Georgia foundation” and the World Bank;
• 13/01/2010 – New Year celebration concert in the IDP’s settlement in Mukhiani. Co-organizers: Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia;
• 14/01/2010 – 40 IDP children from Abkhazia attended the New Year celebration concert at Mtatsminda Park. Children were given symbolic gifts, candies and the cards of entertaining attractions. Co-organizers: Mtatsminda Park; Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and refugees of Georgia;

01/07/2009 – 20/09/2009 – the project implied two months of paying internship for IDPs. In the frame of the project were chosen 30 IDP youngsters, who made description of Azerbaijan population in the village Iormughalo, Sagaredjo region. On the basis of description Azerbaijan citizens were given the personal identification documents. Two advanced interns were employed at the Regional Department of Civil Registry.

“Future is yours 2010”

16/02/2010 – 10/06/2010 in the framework of the project many lectures and seminars had been conducted on the following topics: civil society, democracy, tolerance, gender equality, labor appreciation, commodity culture, ecology and protection of nature, raising civic duties, and state systems, integration into Europe. After the seminars children wrote essays for the contest and the winners were elected. 5 civil schools participated in the project. In all up to 700 participants took part in the seminars, and up to 300 children took part in the competition. 20 winners were awarded with encouraging prizes, such as portable computers, DVD-Sets and the certificates (co-organizers: Ministry of Environment protection and Natural Recourses).




‘’Professional practices for successful future’’ (current)

On the basis of filling the application forms and through discussions 20 internally displaced students from the occupied territories were chosen for the 21 days probation in different companies, according to their own professions. This trial period of internship goes on to the following directions: Journalism (Radio ‘’Fortuna’’) Specialty of the foreign languages (Cambridge House), Chemistry (Laboratory ‘’Multitesti’’), Legal education (Civil Registry), Sociology (Business Development Centre of Georgia)

The project implies holding lectures and seminars at the school located in Rustavi on the following topics: contemporary Georgian civil society, its problems and the way of solving them, activity of a person for developing common civil self-consciousness, integration into Europe Union. The lectures will be conducted by qualified expert. After the end of the lectures and seminars the contest participants will be given 1 week to search for the information about the themes of their own interest and analyze it. After the term of the one week the contest will be held. Preliminarily created board of juries will evaluate and decide upon winners. They will be awarded with the encouraging and valuable prizes. Cultural Projects:
Competition ‘’ Georgian Calligraphy’’
Co-organizers: National Centre of Manuscripts, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia
The main aim of the competition was to help the promotion of Georgian manuscript among the new generation. The competitors were given different kinds of complicated tasks, such as: to make the copy similar to the original, decorative and diminutive design of the manuscript etc. The competition was divided into three rounds, 119 competitors who passed successfully through the third round were awarded with diplomas and titles of ‘’Georgian Manuscripts’’, whilst 35 participants got winning-paces. They were given different kinds valuable gifts: laptops, photographs, cell phones, money award and books. There was also held an exhibition of the won works. The winners of this competition had chances for exhibiting and selling their own works at the folk festival ‘Art-Gene’.
10 000 Georgian students both living in Georgia and abroad took part in the competition. It’s worth noting that the competition had wide appeal among the non-Georgian population. The documentary ‘’The Long Wait’’

The film shows the daily life of the internally displaced persons of the war 1992-2008, their physical and spiritual problems. The characters of the films are peaceful people, who are vulnerable and still suffer from the results of the conflict. World music festival in Mestia
Funded by: Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia
21/08/2010-25/08/2010 -in one of the most beautiful part of Georgia –Svaneti there was held the world music festival. Many foreign groups took part in it: Incluto (Lithuania), Crossroad Blues Band (Armenia), Musicians from Estonia (Estonia), Bayar Shahin-Gundaridze and Band (Turkey) and Georgian groups: Reggeaononi, Zumbaland, Chveneburebi, Astrogeorgia. There were performed the local folk ensembles at the festival: Riho and Latali;
During the day, different kinds of excursions were carried out for the participants. They saw the sights of Svaneti, the museum and towers of Mestia, whilst in the evenings they had musical rehearsals, invented common compositions and got ready for their performances. They made video, audio and photo records about the festival process, whilst the festival was to take place annually. Georgian cuisine (Expedition in Turkey)

29/08/2010-05/09/2010 An expedition was carried out in the provincial Georgian villages in Artvin (Turkey) whose aim was getting the full information about the traditional dishes of the ethnic Georgians, taking photos and record the recipes. The presentation of the project was held at the restaurant ‘’ Puris Saxli’’ on the 13th of October, where was displayed photos obtained during the exhibition, whilst the visitors had chances to taste the dishes cooked according to the recipe. It’s scheduled to work on the stuff and to publish an illustrated book about the traditions of Georgian population lived in Turkey. The book tells us how well the equivalent names of the old Georgian dishes are kept, in which way have Georgian dishes established in Turkish cuisine, what was the role of cookery in keeping Georgian culture inheritance.
