Traveling to Europe just got a boost. Yesterday, ITA, formerly Alitalia commenced flying direct from Rome, Italy as part of plans to expand in Africa to compete with KLM, Air France and Brussels in offering travel options to traveling into Europe.
From Germany, the airline is offering connections from Frankfurt and Munich to Rome where travellers will change to the non-stop flights to Accra.
According to a timetable published on the airline’s website, ITA Airways will operate three weekly flights from 6 June 2024 to 30 June 2024 from its hub at Rome-Fiumicino airport (FCO). The frequency will be increased to 4 flights per week from 1 July 2024 to 29 March 2025.
