Adowa is an African dance from Ghana performed mainly during funerals, festivals, and social gatherings by an African tribal community known as ‘Ashanti’. This African tribal dance, Adowa, is said to have originated in Ghana in the ‘Ashanti region’ located in the southern part of the country.

The hand gestures of the dancers and each step of the feet tells a story. Some of these gestures signifies emotions and attributes like unity, courage, retreat, loneliness, crying, peace and love.

This aesthetic movement also serve as non-verbal communication between the dancers and the elders in the gathering.

🇬🇭: The Aburi Botanic Gardens is one of the most fascinating places in Ghana. This garden was opened in March, 1890 to serve as sanatorium for the colonial government.

This glorious garden has since provided both studied and leisure tour for good number of visitors. Covering 64 hectares on an elevation of up to 460 meters above sea level and overlooking the Accra coastal plain.
