Sure, humanity nowadays has many other problems to solve though aside from love, few activities seem to promise us as much happiness as going traveling taking off for somewhere else, somewhere far from home, a place with more interesting weather, customs, and landscapes. Dear Friends,

Over the years, I have managed to climb from entry level all the way to managerial and ownership of various companies, all with the guidance of my personal best compass, always pointing forward, learning and rectifying from the past.
In this journey, you, the customers, were that bright beacon of light directing me to the right path of ethos, integrity and exceptional service.

The 30th corporate birthday, finds us once again in a “battle” inside trenches. The psychological and physical fatigue caused by the sudden lifestyle change, affected us all.
Unfortunately, we experienced losses in notable partners, suppliers and customers due to the shrinking of a tourist season which was literally non-existent, unpredictable and was a point – not even a pause.

Nevertheless, the whole unfortunate situation, as a company, gave us the opportunity to open our horizons in new sectors, products and activities, once again putting into practice Darwin’s theory – “that which does not evolve, disappears”.
We are honoured to close the year with an award of evaluation and customer criticism in a total of 349 products in Greece & Cyprus, something we owe and dedicate to our partners and suppliers.

Greece, as the entire humanity is living through its most difficult time in modern history; 2020 finds MTM DMC 30 years old, 20 years of which are under my management, and we are still, not only surviving, but with your help and support current, modern and thriving!

Figures speak for themselves: 20 awards, 29 nominations, sales increase 135% the last 5 years, customer satisfaction 4,8* out of 5, measured response time 24/7 at 23 min, complaints ratio 0,003%, refund ratio 0,001%.

Of course, in the years to come, human relationships will be tested even harder, again, like the last few years, and as John Churston Collins once said, “In prosperity friends know you, in adversity you know who your friends are”, so that leaves us no choice but to work together even harder than before.

A big thank you to all our B2B customers, and our staff. We are here to give you memories to take back home and think of fondly. We Greeks are not fond of saying goodbye, so let us just say, until we meet again.

Dear Travel Partners

In line with the latest EU measures, from 15 June, Greece will allow the entrance without quarantine of incoming tourists initially from 20 countries chosen based on “epidemiological criteria”. Here you can find the list.

As of July 1st, flights to all Greece Airports and from all countries will start, with the exception of those presenting negative epidemiological features. For the entrance of visitors , there will be no condition of any type of test or the imposition of any quarantine, while only sample tests for epidemiological monitoring will be affected.

As for the accommodation , year-round hotels are now open while seasonal hotels will re-open on 15 June.
Actions are currently in effect and are as follows:

• Open-air archaeological sites, re-opened on 18 May; museums will re-open on 15 June.
• Bars, cafés, coffee shops and restaurants re-opened on 25 May with a table limit of 6 people, except for families with children.
• Organized beaches in the area re-opened on Saturday 16 May, but must adhere to a cap of 40 people per 1,000 square meters and a distance of at least 4 meters between umbrellas.
• Public transport, taxis and the ferry service connecting central Greece with the nearby blue flag beaches are operating on a regular basis, with the mandatory use of a face mask.
• Cultural sites such as libraries, theatres and creative learning centers remain closed. Additionally, cinemas, gyms, nightclubs and playgrounds are suspended from operation (some sporting facilities are re-opening from 18 May).
• City parks and green spaces re-opened on 4 May.
• Social distancing measures are in place in supermarkets and pharmacies allowing one person per 15 square meters. Hand sanitizer pumps have been installed at shop entrances and exits for compulsory use by customers. Cash transactions are to be avoided where possible.
• Churches have re-opened for public services with reduced capacity.
• Open-air cinemas re-opened on 1 June (with capacity restrictions).
• All retail shops are working on a regular basis.

On behalf of everyone at MTM DMC Ltd, I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe at this time.

I wanted to write to you to let you know what's been happening at MTM DMC Ltd.

The global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented and as the travel industry faces the biggest challenge in modern history, we would like to share our thoughts on the path to recovery.
While we do not have a definite indication of how long it is going to continue, we know with certainty that it will be followed by a period of recovery and rebound for the industry.
My personal thoughts are that, we will be more than happy if we will face a 10-15 % bookings turnover in Q3 – Q4 of 2020, with increase in 2021 in, and back to the normal figures in 2022, yet still there are a lot of unforeseen circumstances and unbalanced factors at this moment to take into consideration, that change day by day.

The tourism industry is a resilient one and it has bounced back again and again from natural disasters, political conflicts, security and health crises. The severity is difficult to estimate but recovery is certain.
Tourism is an integral part of life and there are millions of travellers out there, aching to get back on the road once this is over. All humans after that crisis will have such a strong desire to explore and experience the best things to do anywhere, anytime - and MTM DMC Ltd is their trusted choice, for land experiences, when it comes to Greece & Cyprus.

We are not sitting idle. As a company, we are currently busy optimizing our products portfolio and prepare for the recovery. We are privileged to be backed by reputable partners, allowing us to weather this storm so together with your partnership, we are determined to be the first and the fastest to rebound.
Thank you for your continued trust in us and rest assured, my team and I are working around the clock trying to ease the disruption as much as we can, by leaving me no other choice than to say that I am extremely proud of the way that everyone has given their all at such a challenging time, and when the world is ready to travel again, and it will, we need to be ready too, same way as we are the last 30 years.
