The new Museum of Aigai -North Greece
The point of reference and pole of cohesion of the polycentric museum is the new museum, the central museum building designed to be the symbolic gateway to the archaeological site and to the history of Aigai, to the history and culture of the Macedonians, but also to the Hellenistic Oikoumeni , since this will host the physical headquarters of the digital museum "Alexander the Great, from Aiges to Oikoumeni".
The new Museum, in addition to the introductory exhibition "a window into the world of Alexander the Great", hosts five exhibitions: the architectural exhibition with the central exhibit of the reconstructed part of the palace, the sculpture exhibition, the central exhibition "Aigai memory", the periodic exhibition "Oicumeni Antidoron" and the art exhibition "Memory Material" with works by Christos Bokoros created especially for the presentation at museum of Aigai.

My dear friends,

What started innocently, organizing a trip to Greece as a favor for a colleague 37 years ago, grew to be a successful, premiere company offering consultation and travel services to discerning travelers...it was the birth of Hellenic Adventures. Since that first trip in May of 1986, thousands of you entrusted us to plan a memorable holiday, first in my homeland, and soon after in six additional destinations. We were honored to become a part of so many life-long journeys from honeymoon to a first family trip to a 50th anniversary journey. Witnessing the passage of time with your families has been humbling... and fun!

And now my lovely journey has come to end. I recently sold Hellenic Adventures and look forward to my retirement. I want you to know that Hellenic Adventures would not have succeeded without your support, trust, and loyalty. Know that you have my deep gratitude for that. I also extend my gratitude to my wonderful suppliers whose commitment to providing the best services possible to clients made us look so good! And it goes without saying how deeply I appreciate the hard work and commitment to excellence that my employees over these many years have contributed to your travel experience. A special shout-out to my wife Jane. Without her encouragement and hard work, I would not have set out on and continued this journey.

The K family just loved Athens! So much history, beauty, friendly people and amazing food! Charming restaurants, lovely hotel, enjoyable tour guide, wonderful winery visit. Great wine, fabulous lunch and such a beautiful setting. That was a wonderful treat! Could it get any better on the islands?? We're so happy you were so happy!

These frustrating, and sometimes abrupt, flight changes may seem arbitrary (and always irritating), but knowing why they occur can ease the pain... a bit.

Greek Easter is this weekend. A beautiful rhapsody in our religious service is O Glyki Mou Ear – Oh! My Sweet Springtime. It is the lament of the Virgin Mary upon seeing the body of Jesus. In these emotional and difficult times we all live in, may we take a minute to feel the pain of mothers who have lost their children to insane violence and make a commitment to do our utmost to make the world both sane and just.
