Villa Thalia is a Villa, built with care, based on a secluded location in Leukogia village at the south coast of Rethymno. Villa Thalia is a unique destination for the unforgettable holiday you are dreaming about! It’s magnificent country side and sea views, it’s amazing outside area and swimming pool, as well as its comfortable rooms are some of the chacarecteristics that make Villa Thalia stand out! Also, the Villa is within a short drive from some of the most famous beaches of Crete such as the endless, sandy beach of Plakias, which is only 3 km away from the villa, Preveli lagoon beach, Agios Pavlos sand dune beach and Triopetra. Additionally, it’s within walking distance to a regional grill taverna and a super market and just 3 Km away from the lively village of Plakias where our guests can also find a variety of cafes, restaurants and other amenities, such as pharmacy, bakery, ATM machine, post office, as well as beach bars. Villa Thalia covers 210 m2 and it’s divided in two levels. The Villa can accommodate up to 10 guests in its 5 bedrooms and it’s a perfect choice for families, as well as groups of friends. Ground floor
A large, beautiful open space, modernly and discreetly decorated, welcome you as you enter the Villa. There guests can find the cosy living room featuring a bright and airy sitting area, where you can relax and have fun watching your favourite movie. Besides the siting area, there’s a chic, white dining table for six people, right next to fully equipped kitchen, ideal to prepare your homemade meals! The whole Villa is highlighted by the stone walls, the carefully chosen decorative elements and the wooden ceilings, which create a beautiful ambience. We shouldn’t forget to mention that glass doors from the living room area lead to a large, shaded veranda, overlooking the pool terrace. A shared, family bathroom with shower cabin is also available on this floor. Also, after descending a few steps guests can find two of the Villa’s bedrooms, one which features a double bed, while the other has two single beds. Last but not least, a second living room, a dining area for 6 people and fully equipped kitchen can be found there, providing autonomy and independence to the guests. One bathroom with a shower can also be found on this level. First floor
The remaining three of Villa Thalia’s bedrooms are located on the first floor, two of which boasts a double bed, while the last one features two single beds. All bedrooms are air conditioned and have a wardrobe. Two of the bedrooms also have access to the upper floor veranda, equipped with patio furniture, which also enjoys stunning views of the nearby hills, fields and the Lybian sea and overlooks the pool area. Furthermore, a shared bathroom with a bathtub can also be found on the first floor.

Moving outdoors, one cannot but admire the wonderful area, where the private swimming pool catches your eye at once. The pool is 35 m2 and 1.50 m deep and also provides a special compartment for kids of 4 m2 and 0.50 m deep. Just imagine the hours of relaxation and fun you could have with your loved ones, by the pool, enjoying the summer breeze, hot sun, fresh air and clear blue sky. To make things even better, the pool terrace allows you to witness its superb sunset views, resting at the shaded veranda with an additional sitting area. Additionally, large lawn covered areas and a separate shaded pergola with sun beds are also available, ensuring your outmost comfort. Villa Poseidon covers 110 m2 and it’s divided in two levels. The Villa can accommodate up to 6 guests in its 3 bedrooms and it’s a perfect choice for families, as well as groups of friends. There guests can find the cosy living room featuring an enormous sofa corner sofa for the whole family, where you can relax and have fun watching your favourite movie. Besides the siting area, there’s a chic, white dining table for six people , right next to fully equipped kitchen, ideal to prepare your homemade meals! We shouldn’t forget to mention that glass doors from the living room, dining area and the kitchen lead to a large, perimetrical veranda, as well as to the pool terrace and BBQ facilities, giving you easy access in and out of the Villa. A shared, family bathroom with shower cabin is also available on this level. First floor
All three of Villa Poseidon’s bedrooms are located on the first floor, two of which boasts a double bed, while the last one features two single beds. One of the double bedrooms has its own small veranda at the rear part of the Villa, equipped with patio furniture. Furthermore, a shared bathroom with a bathtub can also be found on the first floor. Finally, after climbing a free steps, guests can access a large shaded veranda, also equipped with patio furniture, which also enjoys stunning views of the nearby hills, fields and the Lybian sea and overlooks the pool area.

Organizing and planning a special event (wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc.) Location Overview. Villa Poseidon is located very close to Lefkogia village, on the south coast, where guests can find all the necessities they need such as a taverna and a supermarket in 400 meters walking distance. Also Plakias is a sea front village, that can be reached within 8 minutes by car and has a sandy and very well organised beach with sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers, etc. The rocks surrounding the beach are ideal for fishing and snorkelling, as well. The road along the beach is also ideal for walking or cycling. Along the main road of the village there are several supermarkets, bakeries, ATM machines, post office, a doctor’s office, restaurants, tavernas, cafes and beach bars while on the beach there are tamarisk trees, water sports, beach volley courts, snack bars and other shops offer a very wide range of products, including local and traditional goods. Also the well known beaches of Schinaria, Ammoudaki and Damnoni which are definitely considered as the beauty of the south cost, are close and can be reached within a 7 minutes drive. Sea waters are warm in July and August, but be prepared to bathe in Saharan-style heat and the ‘meltémi’, the northerly wind which regularly blasts beaches. On the other hand the winds also drive away the mosquitoes and break through that solid wall of summer heat.
